Everything about the site looked great and reviews were all positive.
Unfortunately I had a mishap and couldn’t actually go to this site. I emailed to explain. The reply was very gracious and understanding. I will book this site again and go as soon as I am able.

Great location for exploring the head land. Good value for money.

It's a very windy area as at the end of the headland so just be ready for that. But nothing to do with the site.

Great site, as close to wild camping as you can get on site, river on one side, wooded mountain to the rear with great walks straight off site

The cottage and owner are very hospitable and always happy to help

Clean and peace campsite. Camped right next to the river which was amazing.

We had a fab time at tan Aeldroch farm. Great little campsite for families gorgeous stream and lovely fields to play and entertain the kids.

Sound of river running through the site was peaceful. Great location for Betws, Llanrwst, Conway etc. Tent pitches seemed pretty level, and there was also a wooded, craggy area in the centre of the site where my 8 year old boy had a whale of a time playing.

Not the site's fault but the midges were unbelievable. The ground was also incredibly wet and boggy. During such a wet season, perhaps having designated parking would be a good idea.

Having sheep around was a novelty, but didn't appreciate sheep poo everywhere, particularly without a warm water facility to wash hands in.

Midges, sheep, facilities. It was cheap because, well, it's cheap.

Although we have had a lot of rain over the past few months it became apparent when driving onto the field to pitch up, the ground was so saturated and did not drain excess water away, is the correct word very boggy ?

The middle part was full so had to try and find another section but so much excess water and mud.

I have been camping to many places after and during a run of very wet weather but this field was not fit for purpose, a contingency plan would be to close until fit to pitch on or at least inform guests to bring wellies, a good matt for the entrance to your tent so mud and sheep poo not brought in, something to get your car out when stuck or sliding or what to do and loads of anti bac for your hands as sheep poo everywhere and no hot water to wash them safely, oh and hand towels/paper towels to dry hands after washing in the warm water only in female toilets.

I’d leave this field to the sheep to be honest, I don’t want others feeling like we did when you just want a simple break away for a few days.
