Great views on site, very idyllic location. Good for a short stay. A few hidden gems for walking near by.
The free range sheep were great company too.

Friday and the weekend felt a bit over booked due to the free for all space allocation.

Obviously would have liked showers but it's clearly advertised that they are in progress so not really an issue.

Really nice site and everyone so friendly lots of nice walks around aswell

Area was really nice, in the mountains by the river. Cheap for the location.

Unfortunately we didn’t end up staying over night due to the high number of midges. No fault of the owners, but as we aren’t a fan of bugs so we couldn’t stay. We were told that they were worse due to the damp weather, but if you’re not tolerant of bugs it may not be for you. If you’re not a fan of sheep, some do roam around the field and there’s sheep poo around the site.

Everything! Even tho it was fairly busy, You would never know as we still had plenty of privacy and a picturesque camping spot. We can't wait to return. Friendly owner and hassle free everything. We had our cats with us who had a great time exploring around the river and this was also no problem with the owner.

The wood for sale is a bit of a nightmare to get going.

So lovely to fall asleep and wake up listening to the sound of the river! We loved this peaceful site and it was just perfect to sit with a drink and a campfire. We were a little later than expected arriving and the owner was so chilled about it which we love.

Looking forward to the shower block being built so we can stay more than one night!

Idyllic setting with trees, stream and sheep. Generous size pitches complete with fire pits. A Very quiet retreat.

Nothing to dislike

Nice campsite, would have loved a spot next to the stream.

Toilets were blocked in the morning. Lots of signs saying don’t put anything but tissue down the toilets but I guess people did it anyway :(

Superb views! Loved the freedom to choose your own pitch and the fact that you can have a fire pit to sit out by and enjoy the evening. The river is beautiful and it was great to see children playing in the water. We will definitely be returning in the very near future.

The open space for the children to play also the lake and the beautiful walking in the mountain

The midges was biten alive !
