Nicely set up, with option to choose where you wanted to camp but separated with areas of long grass and picnic benches in various places. Nice view, quiet site, well maintained. Toilet was clean and well stocked. Owner was friendly.

Could have done with more than one toilet and shower in the field but was ok as it was quiet.

Great campsite, beautiful views, toilets and showers very clean. Would definitely return. Owners very friendly and on hand if you need anything!

What a lovely site. I tend to prefer the less commercial strs and this fits the bill completely. We pitched in the lower field and the view across the valley was spectacular.
There was one toilet and one shower for the whole field. Don't be put off by the outside appearance of the cabin they're in because inside would be the envy of many a hotel I've stayed in! There is a fridge/freezer for ice packs etc. however it is a berry small one, so with a full capacity on the site, getting ice packs frozen might be a challenge as with access to the toilet and shower. If you're traveling with children, a camping toilet would be advisable.
Not the fault of the owners, but the only access to the site is off the A35, via a tricky junction if you're coming from the west as it's right at the end of a dual carriageway, which unfortunately for us was closed to traffic from 8:00pm to 6:00am the whole week we were there for resurfacing and it looks like a 10mile stretch is going to be subject to that over the next few weeks!
Unfortunately for us the weather was dreadful during our stay with only two half decent days without rain, including a real humdinger of a storm Monday night/Tuesday morning. 70mph winds and raindrops the size and sound of cannon balls. However the field is well drained as the ground does have some stones in it, so be ready for a few bent tent pegs, make sure you have spares.

Not a huge problem for us as we holiday out of season, but another shower and toilet would be good as well as a bigger freezer for ice packs for when it gets busy. Otherwise I'd say this site is perfect if you like peace and quiet, spectacular views and keeping things basic.

Beautiful views. Very friendly and easy going owner. Facilities are basic but all that you need and clean. We also liked that you can pitch where you want in the field and there’s plenty of space so feels quite wild camping. It’s a good location a short drive from Lyme Regis.

Superb base to explore everything Dorset/Devon as to offer. Felt safe and secure- completely chilled and relaxed.Fantastic views from huge pitch your own picnic bench provided. Shower constant hot water spotless toilets.
Nigel was a perfect host gave you your privacy but on hand if needed.
Booked for a 10 night stay- stayed extra 2 didn’t want to leave.

Loos, showers and wash up sinks have good water supply and are kept very clean
There is fridge freezer and charging point for phones and stuff

There is bit of noise from road but it can't be helped and in a land of long narrow lanes it is made up for by the ease of getting to and from the site in morning and at end of day
