Everything about this campsite !! Friendly, relaxed and spacious!! Although they lack in electricity (which is clearly stated) they offer a communal fridge and other basic kitchen luxuries.

Fabulous site - stayed in Jun 2025 (sorry for delay in review). Lovely site, very clean, loads of space, pitch up where you wish. Lovely river running right through the middle of the campsite which you can following into the village (max 10min walk).
Great site for walking and cycling. Would defiantly return.

The site is located in gorgeous scenery with good nearby walking routes. Great facilities and laid back, friendly owners.

On-site cafe is v handy and well-stocked, but service needs improving as it’s not very well organised.

It's a beautiful site, based around an old farmhouse between hills and a river, with a railway running along one edge. We heard owls and saw a kingfisher twice. We loved the relaxed feel of the site, the large area available to pitch in, the level pitches, the views, the friendly owners, having a fridge, the quality of the facilities - lovely big shower cubicles. (Although it got pretty busy over the weekend, there always somehow seemed to be enough loos and showers!)
Be aware that the price of having a lovely pitch with views and access to the river is a long walk to the facilities!

Lovely flat camp site with plenty or room. Great idea to have unisex showers and toilets, washing facilities etc. Nice quirky catering facility with inexpensive popular food options. Friendly, helpful owners. Beautiful surrounding countryside. Lovely post hippie vibe.

Nothing. All good. Would thoroughly recommend.

Clean toilets and showers.
Access to kettle, fridge, freezer and charging station.
Food on site with people who cared about food allergives. Felt like me and my son were safe ordering from them and we woudn't get sick!
They also have vegan ice cream, and sausages for dogs!
Level pitches
Friendly staff
Great walk to town in the woods.
River for the kids (and big kids) to play in.
Pitch where you want, field never felt busy or like we were being boxed in.
There is also good signal for your phone if you have teenagers with you who will not part from their tech!

What's not to like ? Helpful welcome. Lovely situ by a river , comfy barn that was near the facilities.
Kettle was used lots, saved on fuel.

Value for money

Although I had no issue, the barn was very close to the facilities. Imagine on very busy days/nights it could be noisy esp if one went to bed early.

Relaxed site even when busy. Clean facilities. Great views of hills. Nice easy walk to town along a river. Fires and barbecues allowed. Friendly staff. Good pubs in easy distance. Snacks sold on site. Drinking water and bins provided.

Not enough showers or loos when very busy.

Fabulous setting and informality. Very relaxing.

Would have liked a few more toilets as lots of campers over the weekend
