Great campsite. Beautiful views. Perfect for hiking. Decent cafe and shop on site. Great pub serving delicious food next door. 10 min walk from train station ( we didn’t drive there). Friendly and very helpful staff. Stayed an extra night as we didn’t want to go home. Would recommend this site to everyone. Families and singles alike.

Only issue I have is the showers and toilets need updating. It would help in the ladies if they provided a chair or bench so we could put on our socks and shoes from a sitting position after taking a shower

Great services, nice site, obvious improvements year on year with a previously challenging drop to drive up and down replaced by dedicated parking. Fantastic area as always and the café and shop are wonderful.

Lack of defined pitches lead to some odd overlaps of space when pitching, with some new arrivals pitching intrusively close to others while others pitched at an angle across space that could accommodate two or more mid-sized tents. The slope of the site does make it more challenging, but plan your pitch and be considerate of others and you'll be fine.

During our stay it rained continually & we had sympathy for the young people who were sleeping in tents who had nowhere to dry their kit and the only option was for them to use the hand dryers. A drying room would be a very useful addition to the site.

We bought a Luxury Bell Tent experience for a member of our family for their birthday, and unfortunately she didn’t have a good experience with aspects of the stay ranging from disappointing to unacceptable.

The most disappointing part was nobody available to facilitate check when our guest arrived at 7pm, despite the confirmation booking saying check in was between 3pm-8pm, which led our guest had to find the tent by themselves. When Newfold Farm called us earlier in the day, we were asked “where we were” and we were told they “finish early on Sundays”, despite the booking confirmation saying otherwise.
Unfortunately this set the tone for the standard of customer service we received.

Other issues on arrival ranged from the the tent not being secured properly, having only one match provided for lighting the hob, no milk provided despite tea and coffee being provided (some UHT capsules would have remedied this), and inadequate lighting inside the tent, and many other issues which we highlighted in our complaints to Newfold Farm.

Some of these issues were remedied during the stay, however we’re extremely disappointed not just by the poor experience that was provided for something billed as a luxury experience, but how this carried on afterwards with the lack of response to our complaint.

We’ve tried contacting Newfold Farm three times over this to give them an opportunity to address our concerns and requested a partial refund, but did not receive a response after giving them over 2 weeks to address these. Unfortunately we now have no choice but to leave a disappointing review.
If you manage the campsite and are reading this, we have sent emails to campsite@newfoldfarmedale.com, and we are still awaiting a reply to resolve the issues.

Overall we feel that Newfold Farm is chasing luxury money, but not providing the experience and customer service to back it up, and I hope that these issues are resolved not only so we can settle the complaint, but also so that future customers can have a better experience.

Excellent clean shower and toilets, lovely cafe/bar and friendly staff.
The campsite had a really good atmosphere and it was easy to get a good nights sleep due to the 10pm noise rule.
An excellent location for rambling adventures.

Could do with a closer toilet block fir the back field but it work in orogress hopes it will be ready when we go back!
