A gorgeous location which was very tidy and well kept. Everybody was respectful, the staff very kind and social and even if you are not there for fishing, it is still a beautiful place to be. Fantastic value for money for the location and the views you get.

This location is close to a busy road. It didn't really bother us much and not exactly much Makin can do about it, just worth mentioning.

Secondly just a suggestion. The signposting for non electric camping could do with being moved. Extra accommodation is being built to expand, which is fine, this has however obscured the sign for the camping field and we carried on the wrong way initially.

Easy to find location. Friendly staff, great clean facilities. Awesome showers..

Large pitch with full amenities. Excellent shower/toilet block & very quiet in the evening. Beautiful fishing lakes on site & cafe welcoming & great food.

- Other comments mention road noise. Yes you could hear the road but it was fine. Our 2 year old slept through so that says it all.

- Inconsiderate parking from fishers
- Would be nice if dogs could walk around the lakes
- Playground is a little far from the campsite but is beautiful
- Facilities could do with a more frequent clean. Washing up sinks were left in a state at times
- Would be even better if had facilities to freeze ice packs
- Noisy neighbours on an otherwise quiet site
- Ladies toilet had a random door leading to the pipes - not locked. Not very child safe

Very relaxing and peaceful and very clean facilities friendly people on site also great local site 2nd time visiting will visit again

No dislikes during our stay been before also no complaints

Nice location, well spaced out plots, toilets clean. Helpful staff contacted us when we didn't arrive at our expected time, as reception would be closed, gave us the gate code and we checked in the next morning. And if you like fishing, well managed lakes on site.

Initial meeting at reception the man was so friendly and gave simple instructions to our pitch. Tha shower block/toilets were clean and warm! Plenty of space around each van too. We didn't go to fish however we did walk round several of the lakes each evening and the place is beautiful. We even found a play area and chickens and goats. We spoke to people fishing there and saw people catch some decent sized fish.
Had an issue with our van and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Only downside for me was the road noise in the daytime. Don't get me wrong it wasn't too loud but maybe spoilt the tranquility of the place
