Well kept, clean and tidy. This was a small, quiet and relaxed caravan site in an ideal location, just a short walk from the lovely local pub down the road.

Whilst the toilet block was clean and well maintained, the shower didn't drain away well meaning that the floor in the toilet cubicles was constantly wet which was not ideal.

Right next to a busy road so extremely noisy, relaxed sitting outside not possible, some of the pitches are very small

Really liked that it was a small site, showers and toilets were immaculately clean and the lady I spoke to asking for directions was lovely and pleasant. Area was tidy and would gladly go back

The other people staying in the shepherds huts. Nothing against the park at all however they stayed up playing music until gone 11, loud, children kicking footballs against caravans, their dog was running loose the entire time and antagonising other people’s dogs, it would try biting our ankles if we used the loos. They really let things down even when we asked them really nicely. I’m all for kids having fun but they were just completely overrunning the park

All the necessary information was provided prior to our arrival and the gated entrance worked well.

Quite a lot of road noise from the busy highway which was just over the hedge.
It was quite difficult to fill the onboard water tank on our motorhome, but we managed ok.

Site is very secure, only only gain entry in and out with code which we liked, and quiet, ideal location to travel to lake district for days out and also have places nearby for morning or day out such as the animal farm and play burn across the road. Site is small which we liked but be aware apart from toilet shower blocks and laundry room, there is no onsite shop or food place but the site not far from food places and supermarkets.

Originally booked motor home serviced pitch , but we ended up upgrading to the glamping pod , for no reason other than to spoil ourselves,
Motor home pitch was a great size , no issues at all , the facilities where clean fresh and very well kept shower was great … would stay again in our camper without hesitation.
The glamping pod was exactly as described and made for a nice change ,
Local pub within walking distance and farm shop with bistro
All in all a fantastic stop over before heading to northern lake

It is advertised as "tranquility on the edge of the lake district" and "a relaxing quiet park", but it is anything but that. The noise from the traffic on the A6070 directly behind the majority of pitches was like being in the middle of brands hatch. Add on the fact there was helicopter rides just 200 yards away all day on Sunday which flew directly over the site it was anything but relaxing.
