Very nice site . Well laid out . Facilities very clean even during a busy session. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The location of the campsite was excellent for walkers being able to walk off site straight onto Dartmoor and having access to the tors. The staff were super efficient and the toilets and amenities were spotless. The restaurant was also spotless and the food excellent with staff going that extra mile to accommodate customers. I would certainly book again with fingers crossed the below doesn't happen again 🤞

Although pitchup state they do not take bookings for same sex groups or commercial vehicles the campsite do! 😞

We had the pitch opposite us taken over by a large group of young men with a commercial vehicle spending all afternoon covering the pitch with as many tents as they could fit in all hammering and shouting to one another because of the banging music they were playing, the language was quite offensive for myself and wife.

They were obviously fisherman who used the whole side of the campsite to unwind their lines from one end to the other. Thankfully we were only staying for a couple of days so put up with it despite not getting the relaxing stay we had hoped for.

The showers were also a bit of a let down despite looking great the water was only like warm despite waiting for it to warm up and the constant pressing of the button didn't really give you time to wash. What was funny was they had a sign saying " Don't hog the showers"! I couldn't wait to get out!

Lovely quiet, clean and friendly site. Only a quick stop for us as we escaped Plymouth (and moving students into their uni accommodation for a few hours). But we arrived in time for a pint and a burger in the bar and had an early morning walk up to the Tor. Will be back to explore more one day and spend a little more time.

A perfect location for enjoying Dartmoor. Spacious pitches, with beautiful clean facilities. The host was very welcoming with lots of helpful info. A short but fabulous stay.
