We took our camper and had a pitch on the large camping field. We had hook up but they can be a little distance away so make sure your lead is long enough.
The pitches are huge so plenty of space on the well maintained field. The facilities were clean and the showers were great! They have proper controls and aren’t push button so a massive plus there over most sites!
A short walk to the co-op if there’s specific bits you need if not there is a little shop at reception for essentials, also on the road by coop is a chippy too.
And Saturday early evening an ice cream van did a loop of the campsite! Great for the kids.
Overall had a lovely stay will certainly be back!

However, I think that it's taking a while for full summer conditions to arrive, and it's still a mite chilly at night for most camping folks, particularly those with little ones!! We do take park security seriously, many campers leave their pitches unattended for long periods and we strive to ensure that we don't have the wrong elements venturing in and causing mischief. We also want our guests to feel secure - hence our night patrol. The WiFi issue, I fear, will rumble on for a while till Head Office resolve THAT issue!! Great to have been able to host you. Hi Tony. Great review - thank you!! Unfortunately, aside from the Lakeside Cafe / Bistro, Horam has a distinct lack of hostelries. The nearest - the Runt in Tun is a good place to visit. Good food, congenial atmosphere, friendly staff - it's about a 30 minute walk along the Cuckoo Trail towards Heathfield (or a 5 min drive) .Many thanks again, and we hope to see you back with us soon!!
