We had gotten something that said suitable for BBQ’s on it, for when our disposable BBQ had stopped being hot, this man had came over after it had been lit and asked what it was, to which my husband replied he wasn’t sure, and it said that it was suitable for BBQ’s, to which he replied ‘well it’s wood isn’t it’, my husband replied he wasn’t sure as he’d never used one before, but if he needed to put it out, he would. To which the man replied ‘I’m not going to loose my licence over something so stupid’.
I don’t think this was an appropriate way to be spoken to, we weren’t arguing the fact of having to put it out, we just weren’t sure what it was.

With regard to the burning incident; there are numerous signs around the site - including at reception and in the welcome booklet - making it absolutely clear that wood burning or open flames are not permitted. The "log" being burnt was not bbq charcoal nor charcoal briquettes - which are allowed - you had in fact used a disposable bbq earlier. This new addition was a compressed wood log. It was burning with open flames. If you were unsure what it was, it would have seemed sensible to check with the staff if burning that product was permitted. If you felt that you were unfairly treated, or were unhappy with the "rude" member of staff, you should have made representations to the staff at reception at the time. We are here to help with your stay and make it as enjoyable as possible, and a simple enquiry would have prevented this breaking of park rules. Despite this, we hope tp see you again!! T&D & the Team

On New Year’s Eve, the wardens went above and beyond by visiting each pitch with Prosecco and shortbread biscuits, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch.
