We had a lovely time 4th time we have stayed here can't fault Andy and the staff so friendly and accommodating we have 2 rescue dogs that are a bit reactive and they went out of their way to make sure we were sat out of the way. The food is amazing . The toilets and showers are very clean the site is quiet and peaceful. Andy also text on the morning to say that being bank holiday it would be busy so if we wanted a meal in the pub to book a table.He also came round every day and spoke to all the guest to see if every thing was OK. It's a beautiful camp site we keep going back 10 out of 10 can't fault it we'll worth a visit

Great little site at the back of the pub, plenty of spaces toilets very clean.

Site itself was excellent. Owner very friendly. Good facilities. Pub food was outstanding and pub itself great. Band on the Saturday was also outstanding.

Not the sites fault but barking dogs were a slight irritation, especially early morning.

Pub serves beautiful food and is reasonably priced. Generally quite a quiet site, nice walks along the river and in to the villages, Blacktoft Sands only just down the road which is worth a visit too. Andy who runs the campsite is friendly and always available if you need him.

Our only dislike is the showers having to try and keep the button pressed in (otherwise it switches off in seconds and then fluctuates the temperature quite hot) which is hard when trying to wash long hair and trying to do it quickly as you can as they are an extra charge (£1 for 2 mins) . For a family of 4 showering every day this does bump up the cost by £12 per day, the site is well priced apart from this but compared to other sites where showers are included it makes it a little bit more expensive

Not bad could not get food from the pub as it was fully booked

Was never asked if we wanted a table booking at the pub for food as it gets used by people living nearby. We did not get anything from the pub as was told there was just too full could not even anything to take out.

If you’re after a quiet place to chill then I recommend this place . There are small walks nearby and if bird watching then this could delight. We booked at the half moon pub for a carvery meal and wasn’t disappointed…the meat quality was very good.

Only gripes I have are about the shower block , it’s a £1 coin operation for couple minutes, I believe this to be “ out of date “ and not with the times especially after COVID times where we still don’t have “ loose change in our pockets. Other gripe is where we were sitting having the carvery us and other customers were “ locked in “ to our seats because there wasn’t enough room to move a chair to get out…several people had to move out of their seats to allow someone to go to the bar or other requirements.

Lovely friendly pub with great food and helpful staff.
Well kept flat pitches which were a good size.

Didn’t once meet the owners during the 3 days we were there. No greeting or checking that we should have been there. Having to pay £1 for a 2 minute shower on top of the camp fees was a pain especially as the first minute was lost waiting for hot water and regulating the temperature. Only 1 male toilet meant queues in the morning even though there were only 2 other units there. One of the toilets in the ladies leaked. We did report this in the pub but previous reviews proved that they were aware.

Location and a pub in site, fantastic definitely will stay again
