This is a lovely little site adjacent to the river Trent, with friendly owners (Anthony and Lesley) who make every effort to make it a great stay. There's a pub, Bistro and Indian restaurant - all minutes walk away. You can also follow the river, past the marina and lock, with some lovely walks each way. Also close to other nice villages and country pubs. Basic but clean facilities, unspoiled views, a perfect little get-away

Everything. This is such a super site. Really spacious pitchs with ample facilities.
The communication from the site was excellent.
The location is just the best. River walks a plenty and a lovely 20 min or so walk to east bridgford for some supplies.
Will definitely be back

We are new to caravanning and chose this campsite since it’s close to home. We were very nervous about towing the caravan and we worried about how to actually reach the campsite since we couldn’t figure out how to access it from the images on Google maps. We worried we’d have to fit the caravan down a tight lane. Getting to the campsite turned out to be very easy. Can’t wait to visit again!

My only negative was the location of the chemical toilet disposal. But to be fair, a sign did say it was a temporary location. Once it’s in a more convenient location with facilities to rinse out the toilet cassette, there will be no negatives about this campsite as far as I’m concerned.

Communication before and during stay, the location and local area, site and facilities were well maintained, site owner, Lesley popping by to check on us and that we found what we needed. Relaxed approach and all together to enjoy space.

First thought was that very few shower/toilets, but this was never an issue over the long weekend, so would appear to be enough.

Relaxed atmosphere, open spaces, clean bathrooms. Lovely location, friendly hosts, Great to be able to have real BBQs.

Large tent areas for sitting around, outdoor benches, area for washing was clean and well equipped.

Animals roaming around (Guinea fowl). Other campers. Hidden gem, close to river, walls and great local amenities.

It would be nice to have a play area or swings for kids (not essential as we were aware there wasn’t one before we booked).

Long grass for kids playing and us walking. Waste disposal is very basic and not user friendly, especially without the running water (not sure what the trough is about!).

Toilet rolls on back of door needed as they are quite cosy. WC doors that lock (just needs a new hole drilling in the frame).

Mostly flat, near the river with pub and bistro next to the site, flat pitches, countryside views, can walk or cycle along the river for miles, small shop and pub around 20 min walk.
