Location is excellent with long walks by the river Trent, a selection of pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Secure site and very peaceful. Also a caravan shop in walking distance for any emergency requirements.
Toilets were cleaned daily and washing up facilities were good.
It was nice to be surrounded by cows in the adjoining fields.

Waste facilities for toilet and water were very basic with no tap nearby to enable rinsing out.
Big dips in the ground by the gate into the second field made getting the van in and out interesting.
We had dry weather, I think we would have struggled if it had been wet and muddy, although that's the risk you take with a grass site.

The campsite was lovely, relaxed atmosphere and good facilities

Location and security. This is a very secure site for dogs and children. Great views across the fields, with cows grazing at the back of your pitch depending which one you choose. Straight out onto the river trent, you could walk for miles if you wanted. A pub and restaurant bang next door, with more a bit further up the river. Facilities were clean.

Wasn't an issue for us... But only 1 shower, might be busier in the summer months.

Views to the open cow fields if pitching at far end of site. Generally quiet.

Confusing arrival, not clear that the EHU are one per 3 pitches...make sure you have a long lead. Really need to invest in more than one shower and 2 toilets. Some dogs were off lead and even chasing balls around, which is very unfair when the policy is dogs on leads and our dog was eager to chase the ball being thrown nearby...Site should enforce any rules they set. Gated entrance good but they digits worn on keypad made it difficult on arrival and when departing back through the gate.

Good location convenient for river walks, pub/eaterie, bus stop for Nottingham.
All grass pitches which were well mown. Several picnic tables which could be moved to suit those staying on the site.
Spacious outside washing up area with hot water.

We were surprised that the owners never appeared. It wasn't obvious that the shower/toilet block was cleaned daily. There was no hose at the toilet emptying spot and so the cassette could not be washed out.
The site was obviously popular with families/groups with dogs and I think a notice requesting quiet after 10 or 11pm would be a good idea. One night our neighbours were noisy until midnight.
There were no instructions to facilitate recycling of waste - are the contents of large commercial waste bins sorted after collection?
As the site filled for the Easter weekend we were pleased to have enjoyed quieter times for our stay.

Amazing campsite, very relaxed feeling with great facilities, after satying at some other sites that week we found this site very relaxing and could breathe fresh air.

Level pitches, lovely owners, picturesque walks, amusing Guinea Fowl, great eating places, very clean showers/toilets, we will be back. ❤️
