Spacious site with loads of pitches.
Private pitches with hedges between.
Quiet, peaceful.
Good showers/toilet blocks which never felt crowded.
Short walk to the town centre.
Lots of walks to do in/around Bagnoles.

Pitches were in need of a trim, both the grass and the partition hedges, there were signs that this was being done on some pitches at the time of our stay but the majority were overgrown.

A little smaller than some but ok for short stay.
The quietest site I've ever stayed on.

Size of the pitch, massive! Hook up and water were close by. View was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not overly clean in places but that’s camping for you.

Clean, modern washroom facilities. 20 minute walk into the town.

Nothing to dislike.

Clean toilets and showers. Snack bar serving hot food 5 days a week. Quiet especially after 11pm.

Some building works going on in July 23 starting at 8am, but not all day.
Reception friendly and organised, but not open until 10.30am. Closed Wednesdays.

Arrived at 9.00am and although reception was closed were greeted by friendly staff member who realising we were English got another member of staff, who spoke English, to assist. She give us the gate code and advised us to choose our own pitch, explaining some were grass and others part hard standing. Returning at 10:15 to check in there was a queue but not a long wait. Staff again very friendly and helpful.
Chose a level hard standing pitch with hedging either side equidistant to both toilet blocks. Facilities were very clean and plenty of hot water in main block by reception. Also used the other toilet block but notices advised that hot water was not necessarily available so showered at main block.
Chatted with French neighbours who explained many site users come to visit the therapeutic spa facilities for which Bagnoles is famous.
Enjoyed walking from site into the town with its beautiful lake and surrounding gardens; very neat and tidy with wonderful civic planting.

Been here twice before campsite lovely showers clean but not hot

We arrived just before 12.30pm, so had to stay outside the campsite in the carpark as the Office did not open till 3.30pm.
We were advised to have something to eat from their takeaway area, which was ok!
The pitches were of good size and the area’s were clean and pleasant. Within 1 kilometre from the beautiful Bagnoles de l’orne. Fantastic sight-seeing with a good selection of restaurants and Bars. Just got to go back to explore the natural hot spar springs, reputed to have healing properties!!
Probably deserves a 5 star rating but one star knocked of, for hanging around in the carpark waiting for the office to open!!
Gastronomic delight, fabulous scenery !!

As i said above, don’t arrive between the hours of 12 till 3.30pm because you need a special code to get on site and the offices are closed!
