We arrived at 2100. Nobody was present at the front reception. A pitch allocation was only allocated after telephoning the contact number. The electric hook up point was very difficult to find - we had to move two times as it did not work!
This was during heavy rain and dark. The contact refused to come out and assist us.

The swimming pool

The campsite was old and tired, everything had seen better days. There was an underlying smell of must in every building, the toilet and shower block were filthy. The washing machine and dryer were useless and the pitches were so sloped it was impossible to level out even with large blocks. The pitch we were on was also like a mud bath.

Nice site with really nice atmosphere and really nice stop over for us. Pool looked great and was being well used. Walked down to spa which was really busy and we had a fantastic time as although we did not realise is was the annual biggest vw event of the year being held at the spa F1 circuit and lots of them were stopping on site which we loved.

The surrounding areas was lovely and that’s about it.

Owners very very rude , don’t know whether they just Dident like the english or whether they was just miserable and rude with everyone !?. Need to learn to smile 😃
Pitch was awful , owner started moaning at us as I moved my van back and forwards twice to try and get it level.

Swimming pool was a wreck ! The steps getting in was swinging all over the place due to the concrete all cracked and broken open, the liner was ripped all the way around and bodged to hell with silicone everywhere.

Don’t be fooled by the pictures , the place is an absolute wreck, might have looked nice 5/10 years ago 🤣 but not anymore.

Put me off ever going back to this site

Family run site - staff very helpful, lovely facilities.

Partly our fault but we charged an electroinc device in the chill out zone and promptly had our USB charger stolen.

Tidy campsite

Toilet block gets very messy as seams to be used as swimming change area floor is like an ice rink. Lack of rubbish points ment people had left black bags on pitches which attracted wasps galore

Quite clean, very relaxed atmosphere, really quiet at night, very close to beautiful hiking paths.

Reception working hours could have been longer. It would also be nice to have a small shop.
