Loved the laid back vibe,Kids loved the freedom but safety of site.No late night parties and a complete mix of people on site from the solo cyclist to large mixed groups. Eco toilets and kids loved the fact they didn’t have to shower all weekend.They did wash)
Basic but clean facilities and we had horrendous weather I. The middle of our stay.

Toilets were good, clean even though the weather was wet and area was muddy.
Great having the river for the kids to play in.
Could borrow fire pits and buy 3 bags of logs for £10.

Scenery, friendly vibes, toilets

Confusing entrance, no sign post and have to have your vehicle in the middle of a main road while you open the gate. Very unsafe

Loved the small river running alongside the wood lined field. Very fun to swim in. Really enjoy being able to have a fire. Back to basics at its best.

The simplicity of the site is one of the best things. The kids and adults alike all enjoy the time we spend here. We travelled as a group of 10
Aged 10-45.
Met the staff on site and they were very helpful happy to point out all sorts. We will be back again this year before the season ends and next year there will be more of us.
Due to the amount of rain we have had the river was about 50cms deeper than this time last year.
Not sure if the water was colder or me just being older or a bit of both

The kids are gutted that the rope swing has been taken down as some Karen had tried to sue the campsite because she wasn’t watching her child on the rope swing and got slightly hurt. It’s a wild campsite.
Some parents need to watch their kids a bit closer

I was worried about the lack of running water. But it was easier to manage (thanks to Aldis) than I expected. The toilets, or rather the disrespect other campers/unsupervised children gave them, were quite unpleasant to have to use a lot of the time. The river was fantastic. The dog and I spent a lot of time in it. It was nice having fire pits available for sitting round in the evenings.

Having nowhere to dispose of rubbish.
Despite saying so ,in his introductory message, Tom did not introduce himself. Would of been nice to put a face to the name. Only staff intervention was when a lady ( apparently a cleaner) complained about the noise from radio from the group I was with. We were the only group at the far end of site, the next group were up past the toilet block. Seemed a bit ‘jobsworthy’ and unfriendly!
