Lovely setting by the river. Liked the eco theme and all visitors seemed very respectful of that. Rain toilets were fabulous, not what We were expecting. Very peaceful and enjoyable site.

Fab little site, very relaxed and peaceful. We camped right on the edge of the river and had plenty of space for the kids to run around and play.
Toilets very clean and stocked up, loved the wall paper in them!
Staff were very accommodating and helpful with changing our date and adding an extra night on.
Really nice atmosphere in the evenings with campers around their fires but all quiet ‘after hours’.
I also liked the fact there wasn’t obviously a campsite there until you are actually on site, owner sent instructions before hand to make it findable.

Reasonably priced and lots of space for children to explore.

Difficult to find and the entrance gate ok a busy road was tricky to negotiate safely as no room to pull in off the main road before opening the gate. Lots of rubbish bags dumped around the site

Open space, wild surroundings and places for kids to play. Toilets were great.

Turning off the country road was a bit tight and opening the gate to get out of the site back onto the road wasn't wasn't easiest

This was a lovely site to stay in. You can pitch where you like, splash around in the river and see lots of lovely fish while you do it. We had great fun. The toilets were lovely and clean with plenty of soap and toilet roll. There was usually one not working but it was soon rectified and we didn't have to queue at any time. There is an aldi about 10 mins drive away. We used the pub in the village for a lovely meal out. If you want a site where the kids can run around as well as splash in the river and you can bring drinking water this is perfect for you.

The site is great. Big and flat, ground isnt too hard, loads of places to pitch. Excellent access to the river which was shallow enough for our 5 year old to paddle and swim in. But also deep enough for kayaks boats and boards.
Our kid loved climbing the trees and riding his bike round the site (carefully and respectfully of other people)
Perfect site to switch off and relax if you're looking for basic off grid.
Everyone was really respectful of the rules, particularly quiet time at night.
Great access to towns entertainment and activities and also local and cultural activities.

Access to the site: the road is quite narrow and the gate is right on the road side. There is a blind corner 1 side and cars came quickly. Had to stop in the road to open and close gate. I definitely found my bravery when managing the gates solo.

Toilets: were super unreliable for the quantity of campers (particularly the Saturday night) toilets were frequently blocked, although the site did their best to deal with it promptly.

Really relaxed environment. Clean and friendly site, right next to the river.
Stayed here several times, will be back again next year.

I don’t often leave reviews but this site definitely deserves it.
A beautiful setting and just perfect for a back to basics weekend with the kids and dogs. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night!

Freedom to pitch where you like, not at all regimented.
Many different types of people on site.
Relaxed feel, campfires under the stars and messing about on the river.

Only negative was lack of potable water.
