A aimé : Location is great, Chris was a great character and very helpful and welcoming - we were in a campervan with friends pitched up nearby. The shower was hot, washing up facilities basic but worked fine, the views are amazing. There's no wifi and limited phone signal - but it's a great place to unplug. Recommended!

N'a pas aimé: Really nothing to be concerned about. A second shower / toilet would be useful but for a small site, it's not a deal breaker.

It's a drive or reasonable walk to get to nearby pubs or shops, but that shouldn't put you off

A aimé : Small, welcoming site with a toilet, warm shower and wash up area. Great views and walks right on your doorstep.

A aimé : We spent a week here with our adult kids and friends, and overall, it was a great experience. The campsite itself is on a hill, which gave us some amazing views from our tent — something we weren’t expecting but loved. To our surprise, we were the only campers for most of the week, even though it was half-term! The farm animals were a big hit, and we also had the chance to grab fresh eggs for a donation, which was a nice touch. The host was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He also gave us some great tips on local walks and attractions.

N'a pas aimé: The main downside for us was the camper bathroom. None of us dared to try the shower, and honestly, we never saw anyone using it. It was in a trailer together with the composting toilet, so it had an unpleasant smell, was full of flies, and the water temperature was either way too hot or freezing cold (the gas heater kept overheating, only used for washing up in the sink). Plus, having only one shower and one toilet for multiple families felt a bit cramped. It would also be nice to have a few more hangers in the bathroom, and maybe a small bench to put towels, clothes, and toiletries on. It would be great if the washing up sinks were sheltered under the roof so washing up was a bit less unpleasant in the rain.

The campsite itself has only a few fairly level pitches, and if you have a big tent, it can be tricky to find a good spot. Also, the road leading up to the pitches is pretty steep, so if you don't have decent tires, it might be a challenge.

We are still evolving and do have improvement plans
However we do try and maintain and protect the unique and rural nature of the camping field and permanent structures and covered washing areas is something that might spoil the balance
However we will look to improve what we provide and thanks for the suggestions -

A aimé : Fantastic gentle farm set in stunning location and really friendly and helpful owners-fire pits available also delicious fresh eggs and excellent shower and toilet - owners currently creating more van pitches - highly recommend a stay here it's delightful!!!

A aimé : Extremely friendly, gave us some great tips on walks from the site. Nice and clean. Lots of interesting animals to keep a toddler entertained!

N'a pas aimé: One bathroom for vans but a small site so only had to wait a short time if there was a wait at all.

A aimé : Loved the campsite stunning view peaceful great facilities,cows ,lambs ,chickens and peacocks all around you and Chris the host is fantastic frendly and a wealth of knowlege on the area we will definitely be going again
