A aimé We had a really nice weekend at Littleton. The site is really well maintained and the toilet/shower facilities are clean and functional.
The host is amazing. Very friendly and even loaned us an extension lead when ours wasn't working. We have quite a big tent and the host was very flexible about overhanging the pitch.
The kids really enjoyed the playground on-site, which kept them entertained for hours.
Highly recommended!

N'a pas aimé Minor inconvenience: would be worth sharing the gate lock code with visitors either by email before arrival, or giving them a card with the code on arrival.
As others have mentioned, there are wasps in the area, although there's not much that can be done about that. Remember to bring insect repellent and fly traps.

A aimé Laid-back, not-too-big site, suitable for different kinds of camping (tarps, tents, camper vans, caravans, etc), with plenty of space on each plot. Really tidy and clean, and pretty secure, too, with a padlocked gate. Good location - easy to get to and from.
I really appreciated the proprietor allowing me to leave my van in a corner while my son and I did a circular bike ride and then came back for it. That was very helpful.

N'a pas aimé As other reviewers have said, there is some road noise. It's obviously noticeable, being very close to a fairly fast road, but it wasn't all that bad. We slept well! It's also not something that could be mitigated for, so it's only a minor issue, easily made-up for by the rest of the place.

A aimé This was only the 2nd time staying in our caravan but from someone who's worked and knows behind the scenes behind some big companies this little site was immaculate. We arrived late which wasn't a problem. All the facilities were immaculate the showers and toilets from inside you would never get they were just little units in a field. The washing up area, the refuse area even down to the bbq wash..everything tiny detail here was thought about. My only tiny critique is the play area..its an open fenced area in the field but with a sign that says dont use private playpark which for a family with 2 young children under 4 it was hard to keep them away. But after reading some other reviews we thought maybe it is okay to use so we did and the kids loved it so if this is something for guests then this little retreat really does live up to the name and we had a lovely 2 night stay. If we're ever back that way we will definitely stay again. Also it was very nice to meet ade the owner and again thank you for your understanding in our lateness.

A aimé Lovely site, pitches are spacious and the owner is lovely and helpful. Lovely to see muntjac deer in the morning near the pitch

A aimé We loved everything about this site! It's such a friendly little place to stay and you couldn't ask for a lovelier and friendlier host than Ady the owner, for whom nothing is too much trouble.

N'a pas aimé Road noise quite loud some times, only 2 showers so may have to wait during busier times.
