Brightlingsea Touring Park

A aimé Great spot, easy walk to lovely little town with independent shops and amazing bakery.
Lots of dog friendly places to eat .
Lovely prom walk.
Lovely coastal walks too.

N'a pas aimé Site was a little untidy. Rubbish accumulated behind shower block and bits of rubbish, cans, lying around which on other sites is promptly cleared up.
Pitch backed onto the road so noisy at times.

A aimé Clean and well maintained tidy site . Lovely location next to a lake . Easy walk into town or the promenade along seashore.

N'a pas aimé No staff on site, wasn't really a problem though, received a message saying which plot to park in .

A aimé The size of the pitches, I believe we're still the same size.
There was more thank pleanty k of room for our LWB camper.

N'a pas aimé There were 3 showers within the WC block for women. Two looked like they had been refurbished but one had the wall cunning due to getting wet.
A shower curtain would be nice along with something to place your wash bag on and a few other bits.

Apparently the men's were not so nice, send both the showered in there had walls rotting due to getting wet.

Broken grass within the stoned area, was a concern for my dogs.

A aimé Great site , we had electric hard standing and put a tent up on grass pitch , easy access and great pre visit communication , informed of allocated pitch number “ which was well marked and easy to understand, we felt safe and comfortable during our stay , the on site toilets /showers plus laundry room were clean and well maintained, well lit and access codes were given prior to arrival, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay the site was busy but everybody was respectful of others no noise issues etc.

N'a pas aimé No hot water to sinks although notice above sinks Beware very Hot Water. Showers ok being electric.

N'a pas aimé A man using the ladies showers when I was in there was made to feel uncomfortable he didn’t know the gents were round the corner has he said arrived late and wasn’t told but he should of had email

A aimé The location of the site is great and some lovely walks on your doorstep. Nice pubs within a stones throw. We had a lovely few days catching up with friends who live in Brightlingsea.

N'a pas aimé Although the toilets and showers are kept very clean however when they were upgraded a few years ago it would have helped if a spirit level was used to stop water going everywhere when showering. Also a lack of hooks.
Unfortunately it is very overpriced during the summer months. There is little or no security on the site.

N'a pas aimé When we arrived, didn’t know what to do? Warden wasn’t there, called number on board very unhelpful, made first impression bad. This no is the best to use if you want help (01623-824594)

I feel your site would be improved if you let people book on line, turn up and choose an empty pitch of their choice, rather than allocate their pitch, as everyone have different needs and like different locations. It would also create less work and be less stressful.
