The historic town of Battle is about 10 minutes from Apple Tree Yurts, within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town takes its name from the Battle of Hastings of 1066 and has plenty of things to see, including the abbey over the town, founded to commemorate the battle and reputedly the spot where Harold died.
