A aimé rural location but on short drive to Ullswater and slightly lo ger to penrith, lush green field plenty of room fir larger tents, firepits and logs available.. potaloos and shower block, stand pipes around the sites.

A aimé The location was good, close to the road but it is a quiet lane. East to find with Apple Maps.

N'a pas aimé It is a turn up and pitch up where you like, felt a bit disorganised.
There was a big group, a mix of a few families and the kids were screaming and running around until late. They played music all day and night, loud enough it could be heard across the whole campsite. There were people smoking weed close to us on our last night. The dogs on a lead rule didn’t apply to all apparently. The toilet block wasn’t cleaned during our stay (or it didn’t look to have been)
I believe £50 for 2 nights is more than think it is worth.

N'a pas aimé Loud music most of the night,
One tent there was some sort of orgy going on a women was screaming and moaning top of her voice from 2am onwards, not appropriate for children at all! Paid 100 pound for 2 nights for a cold shower and disgusting portaloos, no signal no wifi

A aimé All we wanted as three mates. Clean water, very clean toilets, lovely views and not too busy.

We didn't use the showers as we left quickly due to the rain.

A aimé Views were lovely, was a nice clean dog friendly site. Toilets and shower were clean.

A aimé Is what is says on the tin! You pitch up and camp.

Super spacious field. Basic clean facilities and amazing views.

Watching the sunrise over the mountains was awesome

N'a pas aimé Lack of facilities, yeah three toilets in a block and four portable ones. But one shower without hot water.

Granted these things are mentioned on the website before booking but even still for the price paid this is not good enough.

Paying campsite rates for something that is essentially wildcamping, is not acceptable.

N'a pas aimé No lighting around toilets. Portaloos that were not really clean but what you'd expect really

A aimé Peaceful and quiet. Hosts were friendly and welcoming.

N'a pas aimé Bathroom and WCs should be properly constructed with cement and bricks. They should have warm and cold water 24/07. The taps, installed outside should have warm and cold water all the time. They should be linked to an underground drains to discourage water splash.
The grass on the pitches were overgrown which should be trimmed to allow smooth experience.
