A site in the edge of Derbyshire. Located on a working farm with a niche market of fresh Jersey Milk, handmade Gelato and good quality beef products. With a wet weekend the farmer was only too happy to lend a tractor pull to prevent a possible boggy situation.

It was nice and quiet when the farm shop closed at 5.30.

The pitches were next to the overflow car park for the ice cream shop at peak times we had cars and vans parked next to us on pitches and on the grass.

You are right next to the dairy and at weekends the overflow car park is always full so drivers just come onto the site to park right next to the caravans. The dairy is aware but do nothing to stop this. It’s a shame as the site is lovely but this does spoil the experience.

Easy access! Really convenient to be able to pitch up at 9.30am ready to make the most of the day!

Basic but well kept site. Lovely views across the peaks. Ice cream shop next door!

Location: not many public walks nearby so dog walking had to be along a busy road with no paths.
People coming to the shop parking on the site and walking their dogs around it.

Tagg lane changed dramatically since we last stayed there
They only allowed 5 vans but now in excess of 12
Smaller pitches next to the ice cream parlour car park so not alot of privacy
Lots of motorbikes and noise
Probably won’t return

Chilled and relaxed site with fantastics views ice cream a bonus a little damp under foot but nothing a tractor couldn't help with and no one can predict the weather

So many people coming for ice cream but good luck to the owners they have a fantastic product

When we booked we wanted an hardstanding for the caravan & awning. I did ring the site first to discuss but was told to go to Pitch Up so we thought we would be ok as it said hardstanding and gravel when we booked. Unfortunately it rained a lot so all the dirt came up through the awning floor. It’s taken a a lot of hard work to get it clean. Spoiled the holiday and made it hard work as have joint problems and wouldn’t have booked if we had known awning would be on grass. There was no allocated space for car. The pitches were too close together. Big field so why! People visiting the farm shop were parking on the caravan field and at one point we were surrounded by cars on the site. All in all it was disappointing and we won’t return. Not a moaner normally but not good for caravans. It’s a big shame.

The owners Of the farm very sociable and friendly they sell their own organic ice cream meats milk Which was very nice. Nice little café.

Only thing there is no path for safe walk to Bakewell. if you have a big Moterhome there is no bus service but if you have other kind of transport it isn't a problem.
