No me gustó: Grass was too long and should have been cut, no reception staff around for most of the week, showers were cold if you used them in the evening. We have previously stayed at the Golden Lion but it is currently closed so we thought we'd give this one a go. Sadly I don't think we will return.

From our bell tent - Oppie - we had beautiful views over the lake, and the kitchen appliances we booked everything we needed for our 5-night stay. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the greatest but the bed in the rent was comfortable and we brought lots of extra blankets so we were warm. Facilities around the camp site are good, great coffee at the Cafe. We didn’t try any of the water activities but we plan to come back with the kids and we know they will love that. Good location, although it took us a day to get used to the narrow road that leads to the campsite. Best way we found was coming from Redruth, and even coming from West Cornwall we choose a longer route because the roads are better this way. When we plan our next trip, we might stay for a shorter time as when the weather is not good you feel constantly cold and hard to motivate yourself to get out of the tent. But that’s just us :) Highly recommend this place.
