No me gustó: A lovely location but our stay let down by a neighbour having five dogs that were loose on exercise; we had to clear our pitch of dog poo on arrival. We left after first night, it’s a shame as it’s a pleasant setting and wardens seemed helpful, albeit relaxed about dogs on leads. The wardens also had two big dogs, one of which can jump their fence, so advised not to take our dogs past their van, we therefore couldn’t go outside of the camp unless we walked all round the lake to the entrance

Adult only site ensures you are in for a very peaceful stay even during half term.
Facilites were amazingly clean (spotless) and kept so throughout.modern rain showers added a nice touch.word of note the showers run off a pay meter and it's 20 pence a minute or £1 for five minutes. It starts to count down the second you put your money in so its best to get undressed first.
Overall loved everything about this site and would definitely stay there again.No me gustó: No stool in shower cubicles to aid getting undressed / dressed and no seperate screen between shower and changing area to ensure your clothes don't get wet.could aid this by having more clothes hooks on the back of the door but these are minor details and the shower was both spotless and amazing.

Dogs included & electric.No me gustó: For us times of gates being locked in/out we’re not advertised before booking. 10pm you can’t drive in or out. Paying for showers. Pub not in safe walking distance on fast road. No lighting on site at night. Not forthcoming with suggestions about local amenities.
Thanks for your comments, you mention the times are not advertised yet prior to making your booking you called us to ask if we’d alter our times for your visit? The pub walk as you’ll see on many reviews is well within walking distance from the site depending on individuals walking abilities but is indeed less inviting during winter months by the grey miserable days tho is only a couple of minutes in a vehicle. I was on site most of the time during your stay and wasn’t aware of any dogs barking, the only dog I heard in fact was your own, if it was brought to our attention we certainly would have managed it. We always inform all of our guests about our local area as we did for you when you enquired about a ride out on your motorbike we suggested the best scenic route for you to enjoy. We’re extremely lucky here to be able to offer our guests beautiful dark skies that are unspoilt and uninterrupted by any light pollution especially not from our site! Thanks for trying our site appreciate it isn’t going to suite everyone.
