Loved the campsite. Lovely area and amazing owners, so kind and lovely to chat to. The other campers were so kind which gives proof to how good the owners are and the amazing clientele they bring. Lots of lovely dogs around as well.

Toilets and showers clean and so nice. Bin area very clean and cleaning area clean as well.

Neat, tidy, well kept site with level pitches in stunning surroundings. Fabulous walk from the site around the historic village. If you like industrial ruins and historical interest you'll love it here. The shower block was immaculately clean and hot.
Janet was very friendly and helpful, often pottering around cleaning etc

Sadly we didn't like our pitch as had no privacy once another motorhome had parked behind us with another beside us blocking our light and view, camera above us so felt very claustrophobic. Would stay again but only if we could request another pitch.

Quiet stay, great place to stop for a shirt time and explore the surrounding area. Shops all close.

Nice quiet site with clean well kept facilities, good base for exploring and walking. Coop a 10 minute walk sway so no need to use the car to go for milk 🙂. The site we'll kept, nice and quiet so sitting and relaxing is always an option if the weather is good. Some reviews mention poor access we have a twin wheel caravan and it you follow the instructions from the site upon booking access is fine. Quick check-in and pitches all clearly marked also liked the 12 noon check-out so no mad rush.

A delightful compact site with clean facilities and a charming host tucked away but within easy reach of the town and steam railway. Pitch was level with no need for ramps. TV reception was good. Onboard wifi worked well.

Could not stay longer.

The location was perfect for what we wanted.
Facilities were excellent and the pitches perfect for our little van and awning. Even having a radio playing in the shower block was a nice touch.
Owner was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Instructions given to how the site was run were clear and simple.
20 minute walk to Zipworld and a lovely walk up to a local waterfall and plunge pool we could dip in.

There is nothing to dislike about this site.

We were greeted by Janet the owner who was very helpful throughout the stay.
Location and site was clean, excellent facilities and was perfect for us and the fact it was really peaceful, great location for Zipworld caverns and Mountain Bike Park, this is walking distance and so is the town.

Trish fish and chips was the best we had and you must visit the Model Bakery and try a Spicy Kirdish Pasty.

No need for WIFI as had full mobile signal

Only dislike is there isn’t much within walking distance but that’s not the sites fault.
