The site was great, pitches all gravel with space to park, facilities were good, fabulous walks straight from the site.

Location and site. Walled garden setting is so quiet and peaceful. Great pub a 10 minute walk away - straight up the road from the site and footpath all the way. Easy access to Berwick upon Tweed by car

Toilets are great but only two so may be an issue when busy

Not really a “dislike” as such, but cafe/ house closes over winter and the cafe is so good. We missed it

Everything about the place. Wonderful walks. Facilities basic but clean and more than adequate. It was early in season so cafe etc. shut but it may have been helpful to have some information when reception unmanned.
Great find and we will certainly be back.

Lovely location and pitches all seemed well laid out and level. Beautiful surroundings with Paxton House and river walk along to Union Bridge.

No information on how to check in. Small toilet block with only two toilets and no hand driers. One dirty and toilet blocked. One with a dodgy locking door.

We stayed here during our Northumberland 250 road trip. I liked that it was open during the February half-term. The walled garden felt very peaceful and the views of the night sky were amazing. The site was very quiet, only four other pitches were in use.

There was nobody around to check us in. We went to the reception to be greeted by a sign that said to go around to the tea room for check-in. The tea room was closed when we got there at 16:50. Check-in was supposed to be open until 17:00. Called the office and left a voicemail but nobody ever got back to me. I ended just picking my own pitch and hoping the EHU worked and the toilets didn't need a code. It did, and they didn't.

There is a small toilet block on site with two wetrooms. One of them was quite dirty and the toilet was blocked. There was also no toilet roll. The other was fine.

This is a terrific site, quiet with beautiful surroundings with nearby access to cafe and restaurant if wanted. We have stayed several times and will be back. Ignore the listing which says no facilities - they have had toilets and showers for a few years so it just hasn’t been updated.

Well laid out design. Facilities clean and orderly. Easy to pitch and borders well looked after.

Only downside was toilet/ washroom door, the only one open late at night, was very hard to close. Looked as if wind had caught door and broken stay resulting in damage to hinge. Other wise excellent.
