We liked the Caravan Park, the ground are well looked after, the pitches are a good size with planting in between, once these grow taller, it will offer a bit more privacy. We arrived later on in the evening so just found a empty pitch and setup, we checked in at the shop the next morning. The two individual toilets/showers are spacious and functional, we didn't have to queue at any point, the big plus of staying here is access to the Paxton House grounds, they are vast and there's so much to see and do, the kids enjoyed scootering and cycling around all the paths, the dog loved it too. The adventure playground was a big hit, we didn't see anyone else using it.

There seemed to be a lack of a staff managing the caravan park, we didn't see anyone checking the park or the facilities, it would of been nice to speak to someone as when we pitched up, our EHU was taped shut so had to use the next door pitches, hoping that nobody would use that pitch, I mentioned it to reception but she didn't really know anything about how many pitches were booked or if we'd be asked to unplug.

Beautiful hard standing site, well maintained with- in Paxton House Country Estate.
Stayed her several times and will be returning.

Absolutely nothing to dislike about Paxton

Well spaced pitches in a Beautiful location, enjoyed some lovely walks. The toilet block was lovely and clean.

No wifi

Easily accessed site in tranquil, rural area yet close to main transit routes. Beautifully laid out with spacious, flat or lightly graded hard standing pitches. Lovely, sheltered, landscaped environment within a former walled garden. Access to fresh water and electricity and a thoughtfully laid out grey waste drain. Two well appointed wc/shower rooms are also provided and these facilities, like the site itself, are spotlessly clean. Access to acres of woodland and garden walks. Staff at check in are very friendly and very welcoming. There is no Wi-Fi however phone reception was surprisingly good. Paxton House is open to the public and has a very nice tea room, all within a few minutes walk of the site.

Despite on line booking, there is still a check in at Paxton House reception which may be challenging for caravaners and impossible after closing hours therefore it is questionable whether this is really necessary.
