Stables tearoom nice food,toilet block very good although this is listed as not on the site,it is a combined shower and toilet but is very clean and practical,the grounds around Paxton house were lovely and it was a very short walk to village of Paxton where there is a wonderful pub/restaurant which serves excellent food and drink.

Very quiet and nice surrounding for spend the day. Lovely path through the Garden and along river Tweed untill old boarderbridge. Informative place for waterengineering.

The walled garden is sheltered and immaculately maintained. The pitches are spacious with grass and gravel.

The shower blocks are looking a little tired now and the shower was just about warm enough. Could do with a mirror too!

Well laid out and quiet, with plenty of walks to choose from around Paxton House.

Beautiful peaceful setting , definitely one we will come back to 😊. Wasn’t expecting any toliet or shower facilities as listed on website so that was a welcome surprise. Arrived just after 5pm reception had closed and no staff around so just pitched up on empty pitch after checking with another camper that the pitches weren’t pre allocated .

Instructions on check in would be helpful with booking confirmation

Quiet, birdsong, beautiful walled garden and woodland walks.

Lovely walled garden with spacious pitches. It was very quiet while we were there with only about six other caravans or motorhomes. There are plenty of water points around the site - we managed to locate ourselves close enough we could run our hose from the tap to the van to refill.
We used our on board facilities - not a problem for a couple of nights.
As guests on the caravan park, we got a discount on a guided tour of Paxton House so make sure you book in person when you arrive and not online when you'd pay full price. Excellent tour with good guide.
Lovely walk along the river to the Chain Bridge and back. Also excellent pub in the village - Cross Inn - good food.

There is a warning when booking that there might occasionally be functions such as weddings at the House or adjacent marquee and there was one on the Saturday night we were there. The music was audible in our motorhome but finished before midnight and did not stop us from getting to sleep.
Bus to Berwick (or Duns) only runs Monday to Friday although does come up to the House on these days during the summer.
