Such a beautiful, peaceful setting and Paxton House was lovely to walk around the grounds with our dogs. The food in the cafe on site was yummy, best scrambled eggs 👍

What a wonderful site.

Peaceful location. Fantastic spacious pitches. You can choose your own spot on arrival (subject to availability)
It’s a small site in a wales garden so incredibly picturesque. Well planned out so no one is on top of another pitch. Planting between pitches will just add to the privacy over time.

The grounds are a delight. We could return just to explore Paxton house itself let alone the wider area.

It’s a fab spot for accessing the coast by also a destination to visit in itself. The walks through the grounds and riverside are heaven.

We didn’t really use the facilities as we were staying on the basis there were non as per the listing but popped in to look for review purposes and they were clean and well maintained and an added bonus in an emergency. There were plenty of helpful non intrusive information boards also.

We didn’t get chance to visit the facilities up at the house but a wander after hours gave us a snippet of what was to offer and we will definitely be back.

This place was heaven for a couple but plenty to do for families too.

There was an event on in the grounds during our stay, this was non intrusive, the faint sounds of music and laughter driving across was lovely.

The ability to explore the grounds after hours was a huge bonus to us and a wonderful addition after a day out in the local area to be able to have something to eat then go for a stroll and explore nature and history on your doorstep.

I cannot recommend this site enough.

Quiet peaceful site even when full.
Beautiful setting.
Close to the River Tweed for lovely riverside walks to the Union Chain Bridge & beyond.
Good food in the Stables Cafe.
Beautifully maintained grounds.

Following our stay last year I commented on the confusing signage to the caravan site.
On approaching down the drive, the caravan site is clearly signed to the right, which is good.
However check-in is signed straight ahead. This causes confusion when caravans follow the check in sign first & end up in the House Car Park with no room to turn!!!
If you are reading my review, turn right into the caravan site as soon as you arrive, choose your pitch, and check in after that!!!!

Nice location
Do have 2 toilets and 2 showers but we're dirty from other guests.

Group on site making too much noise, kids kicking footballs about and screeching till gone 12am.
5 vans all together.
As this site is in a walled garden, sounds bounces about so one noisey unit everyone can here them.
No one to check in with.
No commincation at all.
Never given pitch number.

Such a peaceful, beautiful area. Surrounded by lots of trees and woodland walks. Just what you want.

The area, and walled site, very pretty. The staff were lovely and very flexible regarding check in and out.

Fabulous little site within beautiful grounds.
Very peaceful site, really easy check in on arrival with choice of any available pitch.
Couple of showers and toilets which is great if you don’t have your own facilities.
So much to explore on the grounds, we barely scratched the surface. Lovely little cafe on site.
Can not recommend enough, will definitely return.
