Friendliest staff ever - couldn't ask for nicer people
Staff recommended lots of places to go nearby - was very helpful & places were better than the ones we researched beforehand.
Provided lots of help and assistance including jump starting our car, pulling others out of the mud & helping to start our fire.
Stunning views from the campsite
Very good location - short drive to keswick town & windermere lake & buttermere, walks such as cat bells was walking distance away. Many walks/mountains to climb near by.
Noise was kept to a minimum so perfect for families (staff regulated evenings) - did not disrupt our evening as 2 friends there to enjoy the evenings as solutions were provided from staff.
I do not believe there was wifi but both of us had service during our entire stay

As other reviews - toilets were smelly/dirty - but what do you expect?
We went while it was raining meaning nothing the staff could've done would've prevented a muddy floor & every camp site I have been to has toilets that smell.
It is unfortunately a part of camping - if it is not bearable for you stay in a cabin!

Amazing camp site, lovely family run, very friendly & helpfull.
Toilet blocks very clean even with a very muddy feild due to poor weather which can't be helped they cleaned the toilets more.
Shower blocks clean and warm and washing facilities for pots.
They provided freezer for ice packs for cooler boxes and fire pits and fire starter packs also available.
Second time coming here each time it gets better. And I'm booking again for next year once booking opens.

Nothing negative at all that can be said about this site or the staff. Even though we had 2 days of poor weather we still had an amazing time.

This is our 3rd year at this site and just keeps getting better each time - albeit the rain we loved every min extended our stay by two days because we just didn’t want to leave

Nothing - if your a toilet snob they are portable loos but we’re always clean and tidy

The state and smell of the bathrooms were beyond disgusting! Neither the loos or showers were pleasant and it made the visit really hard. There were flies on the top of the showers and flushs in 2/3 toilets werent working.

We could all camp together as there was plenty of space, the field that we were in also had no children around which was good for both us and the dogs. Very secure so we could let the dogs off the leads around us without them escaping!

The toilets and showers were a bit dirty but with the rubbish weather you can’t really help that most of the time and with the amount of people using them it isn’t a surprise it’s hard to keep them clean!

The weather, which is absolutely nothing to do with the site!!!!

Site would have been even more beautiful in the sun with a campfire and a bbq going, instead we took shelter in the nearby pub haha!

Toilet and shower facilities were not great. They were very dirty and smelled very badly. You don’t expect too much for facilities at a pop-up site but it was particularly unpleasant during our stay.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, facilities clean and well stocked.

Ground got very waterlogged and muddy. Toilets and showers are portable cabins so very basic.
