The owner and wife were fantastic and helpful. Clean facilities and the location is amazing because of catbells mountain 🏔️🏔️

Nice site, not too busy. Showers worked well. Really friendly lovely staff.

The toilets smelled quite bad.

Great site in a very nice setting with hills all around as a nice backdrop. Site owners very nice warm and welcoming, I'd didn't want much but they were very accommodating. Toilets, showers and wash up areas all very decent. Maybe would seem a little remote for some but that's was exactly what I liked about the site. Pub a short walk up the hill and 15 to 20 minute walk to a very lovely Derwent water.
I stayed Friday Saturday and left Sunday. Myself and my dog and had a great time, I'd not camped for 20+ years but the experience was all good to me.

Not really applicable as I didn't encounter any negatives in my stay.
Wifi not the best (adequate enough to check the weather app occasionally) all around site but really not a negative for me because i wanted to disconnect anyway. Some may not like this but really what would you expect from a campsite in a rural setting.

Fantastic campsite, had the most amazing wkend with my family ruby and Shaun couldn’t do enough for us (even lending us a pushchair as my partner forgot ours). Showers toilets immaculate always checked and kept clean and tidy, hot water sinks for washing dishes. The site is manned all the time if you need anything there’s always someone there think it’s a shame there only allowed to open so many days a year as it’s a fantastic family run campsite can’t wait to return next year thank you so much ruby, Shaun and your dad for the amazing hospitality

Lovely campsite & location, particularly the lady managing the campsite could not have been more helpful!
There was quite a large group of us and they had no issue (which sadly some places often do!)
Ice cream/coffee van turned up 1-2 times a day which was great.

Would benefit from having more showers as the campsite got busier over the weekend - but otherwise very good!

Location.
Great site with good but basic amenities.
Owners were lovely, nothing seemed too much hassle.
Able to have fires.
Relaxed but respectful atmosphere.

Understandably as a pop up site they use festival style facilities, so tiny toilets.
Dishwashing area was more like hand washing, would be great if it was changed to a kitchen sink style.

Plenty of room, friendly staff. The van on site selling coffees and snacks was a great idea.

Slow running water in toilets.

Felt very welcome from the staff that work there, hot showers, clean toilets very luxurious toilets for camping! Water points all around the field. Stream runs by the campsite which has a nice walk along!

Outstanding location with breathtaking views. Helpful, friendly staff. Family and adult fields available. A visiting snack van, local pub in walking distance and close to Keswick for shops. Firepits and wood available to hire which I thought was a nice touch. Toilets/showers are posh portaloo units, which although hard to completely disguise that scent, staff did a wonderful job of spot checking regularly. A no nonsense site that ticks all the boxes!
