We’re grateful for your feedback regarding the swimming pool and the wasps. Just to clarify, our open-air pool is available daily from 10am, and we close it in the early evening to help maintain a peaceful environment for all guests—especially those staying nearby. We understand that longer hours would be ideal during the summer months, and we’ll certainly take that into consideration for future planning.

As for the wasps, this season has seen an unusually high number across the region, largely due to them feeding on aphids in the surrounding vegetation. While there weren’t any nests near your pitch, we completely understand how disruptive their presence can be—especially when children are involved—and we’re truly sorry to hear about the stings. We’re actively monitoring the situation and exploring ways to reduce their impact while staying mindful of the environment.

It’s great to know you enjoyed the swimming pool—open daily from 10am with no booking or extra charges—and we’re glad the short walk to the beach offered plenty of fun, even on the rocky shoreline. Rockpooling at high tide is a hidden gem, and we’re so pleased your family got to experience it.

You’re absolutely right—it can be lively during those early evening hours, and our staff do their best to ensure quiet returns by dusk. We’ll continue to advise guests who prefer a more tranquil setting to consider alternative pitches or request placement away from Peregrine 4 and 5.

We really appreciate your enthusiasm for tent camping and your plea to keep it going next year. You’ll be pleased to know we’re working on it! Tents are getting noticeably larger these days, and some of our current pitches aren’t quite big enough to accommodate them comfortably. Because of this, we’re revising how we advertise our tent pitches to make sure guests know exactly what to expect and can choose the best fit for their setup.
