Very tranquil and lovely. Conveniently close to A30 to use as a stop off (but you’ll want to stay longer!)

We were impressed with the way the pitches were set out, all cut into the surrounding grasses, which gave you your own unique area. The toilets, showers and washing up areas were great, basic but clean and did the job perfectly. We loved the look of the large canvas bell tents they had. We’ll possibly look at staying in one of those next time.
The little fire pit they provided was a nice touch, we rented one for both nights… which made the cooler evenings a bit more enjoyable.
Thanks for a lovely stay Forest EdgeNo me gustó: The dogs having to stay on the leads, we understand why though so can’t really blame them. But our little ones did struggle with this as they’re not used to be tethered up. I don’t know if it would be possible for the site to maybe add thin wooden or wired dividers between the pitches to allow the dogs to stay off the lead within their own pitches? But apart from that we loved our little stay at Forest Edge and would definitely recommend it.

Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: Beautiful site on the forest edge in wildflower meadow, spacious, level pitches - we had a very private spot at the back, basic but clean facilities, friendly hosts and the location was great for spending time at the coast and hiking along the river Otter. The wood and firepit were conveniently delivered to us. The ground deals with downpours exceptionally well - no boggy or swampy problems despite plenty of rain!
No me gustó: The firepit and wood is pricey at £40 for the stay. Had to pay £10 extra for each dog as well. Overall still much better value for a weekend than a hotel and it was much better camping than most fields in England and Wales with pitches crammed in.

Essential facilities clean and functional.
Friendly/helpful site owner.No me gustó: No plugs in the wash hand basins within shower units. The only area having hot running water. This required for wet shaving!
