The views from the campsite were incredible. Watching the sunset each evening over the mouth of the river was such a treat.We also loved that it was so quiet and peaceful.
The showers and toilet were clean and tidy. Having read other reviews we arrived armed with a roll of 20p coins for the showers. 20p buys five minutes and you can use multiple 20p coins if you want longer showers. We would suggest bringing a portable fire pit or barbecue with you if you want a campfire, as none are provided.
The owner was friendly and helpful, and the site is well kept and well managed. There are lots of lovely things to do nearby (we were with children aged 10-12) and had a busy but fun break. Thank you!

Shower facilities best Iv had. No having to keep pressing a switch for water like most camp site facilities just 20p for constant hot water lovely plus music in the facilities was brilliant.
Great location plus only 15 minutes walk to station for trains to many places

One of the best campsites I have been to, clean, quiet and with a beautiful view of the bay from the hill. plenty of space for children, wonderful owners who take care of everything and have great knowledge about local attractions, I recommend it and will definitely come back. it was beautiful.

The most welcoming campsite I've ever been to. Phil was incredibly friendly and approachable and told me everything I needed to know about the area as I was shown to my pitch for the weekend. I was able to choose between a grass pitch or hard-standing. The hard-standing pitches are flat but you may need your chocks for some of the grass pitches. Wonderful peaceful site away from any busy roads, just the sound of the occasional train passing nearby (which all stop overnight). Local train station (Ferryside) is a 20 minute walk from the site and will take you to Carmarthen within 10 minutes or Llanelli in around 40, or you can go on to Swansea or Cardiff from there so a fantastic base for exploring South and West Wales. The camping field has a large map of the local area so be sure to take a picture of this before you head off the site as this is very useful. I was lucky enough to have the entire camping field to myself for the weekend which also meant having the toilet and shower block to myself which was amazing. Don't forget to bring 20p coins for the showers though. 20p gets you 5 minutes.
Apart from the peace and quiet this site offers, the views across the bay are beautiful and if the ferry across to Laugharne at the other side of the estuary is running then this is definitely recommended. Near the ferry terminal (well, jetty), there is also a yachting club which allows entry to non-members for a small fee and has some excellent local beers on tap and also has lovely views over the bay. This is just in front of the train station and on the other side of the railway is a hotel with a bar that is a Felinfoel tied house and serves well kept examples of their beers.

I was a little unsure of where to park up in order to check in at reception and ended up going through a no entry sign to get to it which was also a little tight for my camper van. No real problem and I ended up just having to drive around the one way system again before I could pitch up, but if you've got a large motorhome or touring caravan, you could end up a little stuck so it would be nice to have a sign somewhere that shows the best place to park for checking in (I could of course have just missed this).
