No me gustó: Pitch was on a slope which made pitching the awning difficult. The toilet and shower block are a bit primitive and basic. Could also do with a few more toilets although i did use the ones in the tearooms also.
Friendly staff, lovely location and great facilities.

No me gustó: A very long wait for mediocre evening food. Not sure they should be advertised as a ‘foodie’ campsite. An antisocial neighbouring tent playing music until 10pm.

Thanks for the plus parts of your review. We are pleased you enjoyed the majority of your one night here.
Music is expected to quieten down by 11pm so 10pm has to be accepted I'm afraid. If it was too loud for your comfort a quick word to us and we would have asked them to reduce the volume.
Food.
. If as you say the wait was too long in the restaurant we apologise, or was yours one of the many takeaways?
During August we have to direct the menu towards what the majority of our campers require and expect.
Whilst waiting we hope you enjoyed the local cider and ale or one of our many gins. Dad of course normally soon finds the dart board!
There are many things around for children to play with and enjoy, along with their imagination the fun is endless.
I'm sure if you had spent more than one night here you would have discovered many more delightful things to enjoy, including the farm tour (walking with the farmer, booking one day ahead essential) to see cows, calves and wildlife etc.

The cafe serves good food and lovely local cider and the burgers we bought for the bbq were delicious. We had a farm tour and Gerald was so informative and friendly answering all the children’s questions and telling stories about the site. Pam was so friendly and chatty, always taking time to have a conversation; and it’s this lovely couple that add that extra warmth and joy to the site.
No me gustó: Having to leave-the children cried!! We will certainly return, thank you Pam and Gerald.
Very pleased with our stay and would happily stay there again.

Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: Peaceful location, lovely views, with adequate facilities for our stay. Purchased fuel for our fire pit for £10 and was pleasantly surprised at the amount supplied, took some home with us as there was so much.
No me gustó: No problem for us at all for our stay but there wasn't an on site shop so for long stays would need to take own provisions.

Thankyou for making the time for an excellent review.
Pitch sizes are all approx 7.6 meter sq (25 ft sq ) with marker bars. We have noticed this year people are arriving with kit getting bigger & oversized rigs. We will review the situation for next season, but making pitches larger equates to less availability for all. A problem we will attempt to resolve for 2024.
We do hope to see you back again one day.
