This used to be a favourite of ours but in 3 years the prices have increased from £25 per night to £38.90 for exactly the same pitch and facilities. The laundry has also increased from £10.50 to £14.00 for a wash and dry even though both machines are the same size as before. Showers and toilets are seriously lacking in water pressure and are a bit grubby. Overall very disappointing. It wouldn’t be so bad if the extra money was being re-invested to improve the facilities but everything is exactly the same as before!.
Were sorry to hear that you don't find the site is good value at this time; we do pride ourselves on having a nice site and our cleaning team are generally quite particular.
We have increased our prices periodically and appreciate this is quite noticeable given the introductory pricing we had when first opening the site; this year or nightly price will peak at £40.00 in the height of summer, but we feel this is on-par with the prices found around the area.
Regards the washing machines; they have recently been replaced for new and with that a new contract too, inevitably this means the costs have increased especially given the premium paid for commercial electricity. We have checked prices against one competitor in Nantwich and one in Middlewich to generate a price that undercuts there laundry service.
Unfortunately we cant generate more pressure for the showers but we are investing in a new set of facilities which will be up ad running this summer; they will be closer to the Pitches to service this area and the seasonal Glamping & Camping which will be in the field behind the touring Park.
Additionally were due to open up a nature trail this year which run the periphery of the sites green areas.

No me gustó: Pitches are like you are in a car park, very noisy as the site is an active canal boat workshop so big tractors coming past quite often. Facilities are quite a walk away from the pitches. There is a cafe on site but it’s very expensive for what it is. The aqueduct itself is very small and underwhelming and along a very muddy path. There aren’t many walks to do that don’t involve going along a dangerous main road. All in all, the whole place is centred around the canal boat market, and caravans/motor homes are a bit of an afterthought. Also, we paid for an extra WiFi code as it said it’s only one per device, but then was told by reception that you can just join the WiFi for free on as many devices as you want! Don’t waste your money!
Sorry to hear you found the site noisy and active, for the most part this is a quite and scenic part of the Cheshire countryside but were also a working marina & boat yard which we feel is well conveyed in the pictures we've uploaded to Pitchup.com; the marina was here first and it is our biggest part of the business.
Having spoken with my colleagues, we've also established that the local farmers were accessing there fields when you were here; this doesn't happen often but several time a year they have to cultivate the ground before sowing and harvest crops later in the year too. It's quite a big event especially given our marina is already a bustling place.
We don't tend to promote the aqueduct to much as its not a Chirk or Pontcysyllte, but there are a handful of good walks accessible once your on the towpath and a walking guide available from reception; it's a busy B-road with a limited verge so, I can understand this is a drawback for about 200-meters.
Apologies you paid unnecessarily for an additional wi-fi code, we have changed this and wi-fi is free; leaving the option available was an oversight and it has been removed now.
We are making a few improvements to the wider site this year, so we hope you will take a look again in the future and may return to us?

The site is very quiet obviously you have the traffic from tourists but it stopped after 9 pm.All pitches looked well maintained and easy to pitch up and relax and enjoy
No me gustó: There were no dislikes my only criticism was there was no signage for the toilet waste area I had to go into reception but once we found it we were highly impressed there was hand washing facilities and it was very clean and tidy

No me gustó: Toilet/shower block was quite a distance from the caravan pitches, closer to the marina but not a great distance to walk and it was very dark at night and a torch was needed.
It’s clear to see the main bread and butter of the business is the marina and the caravan pitches came later, maybe some extra thought might be needed to enhance the “Caravan Park”.
