Lovely stay but unfair accusations after departure spoiled it

Jun 2026

Liked We recently spent 5 nights at Beach Dale Glamping and, on arrival, were genuinely impressed by just how lovely everything was. The tent itself was fantastic and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and provided us with some great nights' sleep. Having our own private toilet and shower next to the tent was a real bonus too, especially for those inevitable middle-of-the-night trips! The barn was another wonderful addition, offering access to a fridge, freezer, microwave, games, and covered seating areas. It really enhanced the overall experience and gave guests additional space to relax and unwind. One of the biggest surprises for us was how peaceful and quiet the site was. It was absolute bliss and provided exactly the relaxing break we were looking for. It was also an excellent base for exploring Pembrokeshire, with highlights including Skomer Island, St Davids Cathedral, Pembroke Castle, Solva Harbour, the Blue Lagoon, and Little Haven. We have marked customer service down solely because of what happened after our stay. During our visit, we could not fault the service we received from Graham. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming and chatty throughout our stay. When the microwave stopped working, he replaced it immediately without any fuss. Up until our departure, we genuinely couldn't have praised him highly enough.

Disliked Unfortunately, what should have been a glowing 10-star review has been overshadowed by our experience after leaving. More than 24 hours after our departure, we received a text message accusing us of stealing a sunflower garland and causing a stain on the tent floor. Neither of these allegations related to us, and we were genuinely shocked and upset to receive such accusations. Throughout our stay, we treated the accommodation with great care and respect. We ensured shoes were never worn inside the tent to avoid bringing grass and dirt in (I even brought my own rubber mat to place at the entrance for our shoes). We also avoided wearing shoes in the toilet and shower facilities to keep them clean. Before leaving, we cleaned and returned the BBQ we had borrowed and washed and put away all pots and utensils. Given the care we took during our stay, being accused of dishonesty after we had left was extremely upsetting and has sadly tainted what was otherwise a wonderful holiday. We would respectfully suggest that future guests are greeted on arrival and that both check-in and check-out inspections are carried out. This would allow any issues to be discussed and resolved at the time, rather than guests receiving unexpected accusations after they have returned home. It's a real shame, because the accommodation itself is excellent and the location is beautiful, but our final interaction has unfortunately left us feeling very disappointed.

From the manager: Hi Gemma, I'm sorry you felt accused that wasn't my intention, I only asked if you knew where the missing items were and what dark product had been spilt on the floor, a huge stain has been left on the floor of the tent which I have been unable to remove. I thought if I knew what the product was it might help determine which product to use to help remove the stains, I wasn't asking for compensation or charging for the damage, it was simply to ask what it was. I'm glad you had a good stay with us and apologies again that you feel that way.

Perfect in every way

Aug 2024

Liked Amazing hosts, couldnt have been more friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The campsite was immaculate in every way. Absolutely loved that it was adult only, it was so quiet and peaceful. The toilet/shower block was cleaned twice a day and immaculate. Great showers too with plenty of space and hooks to hang clothes. Even a hairdryer included too. Our tent pitch was plenty big enough for our tent and our car to fit alongside it. Lots of space and not cramped up. There was a BBQ van that came on the Fri night and really reasonably priced and a coffee van came on the Sat & Sun morning which was lovely. Loved how dark it was at night too. Great for star gazing. We will definitely be returning here next year.

A great little site! Peaceful and Tranquil! Highly Recommended!

Jul 2023

Liked This is a great little site. We loved the fact it was adults only and that it was a very peaceful, quiet site. It gave us the opportunity to relax and unwind and was just what we needed. The toilet/shower facilities were very clean and ample for our requirements. The pitch size was great too and gave us plenty of space for our tent and the car. We loved the fact that we weren't cramped in with to many people. We will be back for future visits!

Disliked If we had to pin point anything, the only thing we would suggest is the option of a small freezer in the facilities area so that campers can freeze ice packs for cool boxes etc. This is a very minor niggle though and certainly would not prevent us coming back.

Great Value for money. Lovely pub with excellent food. Would recommend

May 2023

Liked Loved the fact this was a small camping site with a maximum of 4/5 tents. There was plenty of space to pitch and they even provided a static caravan with toilets and one shower which was perfect. For the cost the site was absolutely spot on! The shower was beautifully hot and clean and a great facility after a long hike in the peaks, very much needed. We ate at the pub and the food was absolutely delicious! I had the Chicken, Black Pudding and Stilton sauce with proper homemade chips and my friend had the Steak and Ale Pie with home made chips too and we both commented numerous times at how nice the food was. Really tasty and proper homecooked! Highly recommended. The staff were all really friendly too. Overall a great place to stay, excellent value for money and will be back again

Disliked Our only small dislike was the ridiculously early wake up call at about 4am from the morning bird song and we are talking crows squawking like crazy but we stuck some ear plugs in and back to sleep we went - it won't stop us staying here again, we just know to wear ear plugs and all is great! If you are a light sleeper, you may be aware of the road noise - there are quite a few trucks that pass throughout the night but that didn't bother us at all.
