Electric grass pitch
Liked Rural location near River Trent and three pubs nearby serving food, clean toilets, resident non-roaming ducks.
Disliked We had booked electric hook-up but were allocated a pitch without it. However this was quickly resolved.

Caister-on-Sea, Norfolk, England
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked We enjoyed walks to both Caister (15 mins) and nearby beaches plus bus trips to nearby Great Yarmouth and even Norwich (the latter 1 hr by direct bus). Back in Caister there were a couple of good pubs and other eateries in the village. The site was quiet, power and water was close to our pitch, and the toilet/showers were clean and easy to use. Our host was helpful. The absence of dogs meant that we saw a hedgehog wander through the site on two separate nights.
Disliked Nothing, except the windy weather one day.

King's Lynn, Norfolk, England
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked We loved the weather on our visit, our sunny pitch on the raised area not overlooking the lake, the clean toilet block and washing-up facilities, the bar open on Thurs and weekends, the wildlife and birdsong, the WiFi, the pub doing food 20 mins walk away in Hillington, and Gatton Water's proximity to Sandringham, Houghton Hall and other gardens and attractions.
Disliked Buses to King's Lynn, Hunstanton and Fakenham were good but infrequent. However our host Mark helped out with printed timetables.

Beccles, Suffolk, England
Electric grass pitch
Liked Very peaceful - we had the site to ourselves one Thursday evening between Easter and May Day bank holiday. Sinks and toilets clean. Site manager helpful - mentioning the option of phoning for a takeaway to be delivered. It is set back from a main road and, for those with children, and has a play area with a zipwire. A couple of blackcaps and some other songbirds accompanied our alfresco breakfast.
Disliked It would be helpful to post the WiFi code on the noticeboard inside the toilet block - although this was provided on request. No pub in village - but we knew that already.

Edzell, Angus, Scotland
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Beautiful relaxed quiet forest setting with small lake about 2.5 miles from nearest town. Good walking nearby and places of interest within motoring/cycling distance, such as Edzell and Glamis castles and the Glenesk folk museum. Pitches are usually available, even during busy weekends at nearby coastal sites. Pleasant café offering hot breakfast, reviving coffees, and lunches/teas. Friendly reception staff. Hot water at washing up facilities. Hook-up facilities worked well.
Disliked Men's toilet block needs attention. Showers are on a coin mech setting, with 20p for a 3 or 4 min shower. A push-button free shower (as at swimming pools) that minimises wasted water would be preferable. Soap dispensers lacked liquid soap and no paper towels. Toilets had enough paper but one dispenser broken.

Liked Very quiet verdant campsite, with nice pub with grub. Spotless toilets and shower. Friendly helpful landlady and landlord
Disliked Little Snoring is v quiet, so if you turn up early and pitch your tent/campervan (and have wheels) try the nearby attractions.
