Electric grass touring caravan pitch
Liked Anna and John! The friendliest hosts ever. Lovely site with good views and although not the most luxurious of facilities the hosts go above and beyond to make sure they are as good as can be. Brilliant dog walking, lots of space and very laid back.
Disliked Bumpy track but small price to pay for a lovely site.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet. Nice view of the lake. Convenient for beaches, broads etc.
Disliked Could have been a bit more helpful when I enquired about a hose to fill my camper van tank! Most other sites I've been on have hoses available and its not a big thing to provide

From the manager: From Field farm fisheries thank you for your review, we have been advised by camping authorities that hoses should not be left on taps due to potential cross contamination from wild animals. Most campers bring their own hose as a result.

Liked Views, friendly staff
Disliked That were were not pre-warned there is no parking near the units and car have to be left in a very busy car park with lots of mini buses coming and going and gear lugged a good 100 yes to site down two small steep grassy banks and through narrow gateway.
Only two toilets and two very small showers with perpetually dirty floors and also being used by bunkhouse guests although I am told they had their own facilities.
Washing up facilities are a sink - with water piped to it via hose pipe but never stayed long enough to find out if it got hot, no shelter, no where to put anything.
Pubs are about a mile away but the walk is along the main road with no footpath.
There is no wi-fi!

From the manager: Thank you for your review. To clarify a few of the points you have made. If you look at the section Vehicles when you are booking you will see. Vehicles "No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area." The distant to the first pitch from the parking is 30m. Nowhere is it a good 100yds. You may have passed through a pedestrian gateway, next to it is a 10" gate that people use for access. Im sorry if the floors in the toilets were not clean when you used them. This was an exceptionally busy bank holiday period. The washing up facilities are a sink with draining board to put your dishes. The water does not come through a hose pipe. It comes through blue water standard piping. There is a footpath that follows the route of an old Roman trail that takes you to the pub. Its a very nice walk, I'm sorry you missed it. We have wI-fi As you state the staff were very helpful, i feel that had you brought any of these issues to them during your stay they could have dealt with many of your concerns.
