Electric optional hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Extremely peaceful site with very well kept grounds. We had a hard standing pitch for a quick stop over which was huge for our little VW.
Some confusion upon arrival as I hadn’t received a text or email (We had been without wifi or signal for a few days) but this was quickly resolved.
Key code for the toilet and shower block and please don’t be me and fail to get in on the first 5 attempts! (enter code and turn the handle to the right and not left!)
Disliked Toilet and shower facilities need some attention very dusty and full of cobwebs and when using the showers the whole place was full of water as it had a wet room set up so take a waterproof bag for your things. (But shower was clean and water was hot and loos stocked with loo roll)
Also no hot water for washing up so we boiled our kettle.

Bala, Gwynedd, Wales
6M fully-serviced hardstanding campervan pitch
Liked Beautiful clean and tidy site with generous pitches and excellent facilities.
Friendly staff at check in.
Site is just a few minutes walk to Bala lake and 10-15 walk into Bala itself.
Disliked Not an issue for us but poor wi-fi signal on pitch 16.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, very much appreciated. Sorry about the wifi as it has been upgraded over the winter with many point dotted around the park so it shouldn't have been an issue but so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us despite this! Team PYB

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Large hard standing pitch with grass either side of each plot giving lots of room between campers.
Campsite is very peaceful and a short walk to two pubs, a coop and the train station where we got a 10min train to Skegness.
This is our second long weekend here and we will be back.
Additional toilet block meant there was no queueing for the loo!
Disliked Only one shower in the toilet block but wasn’t too busy while we were there.
No wifi which wasn’t an issue for us but could be for others.

From the manager: Hello Amanda R Thanks for the review. More showers in the other shower blocks if things get busy. Now WiFi is a little hit and miss, but is due an upgrade very soon.
Buxton, Derbyshire, England
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Scenic and isolated site good location for visits to Buxton and Bakewell. Easy to locate and I had missed an email from the owners advising me of pitch number however I called on arrival and got sorted. (my email went into junk so check yours a day or so before your visit). Dog friendly too but be warned you can hear Chickens and a Cockerel and my husband said he saw Turkeys running around!? (I didn’t see them).
Disliked Facilities are as described very basic and could have benefited from a good clean. I couldn’t locate any facilities to wash up and an area around the toilet block was untidy and had an over flowing dog poo bag bucket.
Not a massive issue but note the Cockerel is an early riser!
