Liked Facilities are very well-maintained - there are cleaning supplies near the sinks and showers so that guests can do their bit to help, but the facilities are evidently also fully cleaned by the campsite owners. There is a common area with microwaves, toasters, kettles, and a fridge. There were also tables and sofas in this area, which was great if you were in a tent and wanted to escape the wind or rain. It was also a great place to meet your fellow campers, and I got to know a few groups of people that I saw regularly in the mornings and evenings. As a solo traveller, this was ideal - I was able to leave details of my walk with a friendly couple and joined a group for some games in the evening. The campsite is located far enough from the main road that there is no traffic noise, but close enough for easy access to the A66 for Keswick and the starting points for walking up Blencathra and Skiddaw.
