Liked Staff very helpful, good facilities and beautiful surroundings

Disliked Some road noise, showers were not adjustable and toilet/shower block was unbearably hot!

Liked Lovely surroundings and really friendly owners. If you are looking for a peaceful break, this is definitely the place! We had a lovely time exploring the local area and enjoyed the fire in the evening. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfy!

Disliked Nothing really...only the fact that we struggled to get a phone signal and WiFi was intermittent (not the owners fault at all!)

Liked We can honestly say we had an amazing time. The owners were lovely and could not do more for us. Lots to see and do in the local area. The hut is very well equipped too. We really hope to come back again one day! Would highly recommend.

Liked Beautiful surrounding and the hut was well equipped. The shower was decent, the views were immense and it was a relaxing and peaceful break. Broomfields is defo worth a visit too.

Disliked The bed was hard and not v comfy. The frame was higher than the bed leaving the back of my legs marked. Also not able to watch any normal TV which was annoying. No bbc1 or ITV.

From the manager: Hi Katy Thank you for your review, I have to say we are a little disappointed by the 8/10 score as you marked us down for value for money yet we have reduced our prices by 25% this year to help people struggling with the cost of living so a little perplexed by this. Regarding you not being able to watch any normal TV including BBC1 or ITV the TV has over 150 different program channels including BBC1 and ITV, I'm not sure why you were unable to discover these and would have been happy to show you had you raised this with us. We are very quick to respond to any problems that might occur as we live on site and we want guests to have the very best possible stay with us. In order to make sure no other guest has any confusion over the TV we have purchased a new Smart TV which is being fitted today. Regarding your opinion on the bed not being very comfy and the bed leaving the back of your legs marked I'm not sure how to respond as we have always had good feedback about the comfort of the beds but I'm going to go with the old saying that the customer is always right so today we have closed the hut for the weekend and are removing the double bed and installing a brand new Kingsized bed with new bed frame. We would hope this will demonstrate to you and others reading this review that we want our customers to have the very best experience at Ockeridge Rural Retreats and would hope that you would return in the future based on the fact that you liked the "Beautiful surrounding and the hut was well equipped with a decent shower and and immense views"
