Non-electric grass and earth motorhome pitch (woodland)
Liked We did not stay due to being unable to find a suitable woodland pitch, there is a large meadow overflow but due to the heat this was unsuitable for our needs. A refund was agreed with the owner who was sympathetic to our situation. It looked a nice site but get there early to secure a woodland pitch.

From the manager: Hi Anna. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do take our guests comments on board as much as possible. It’s a real shame that you decided not to give our campsite a chance, as we would have liked to have you stay and I’m sure you and your dog would have enjoyed your time here. We were ashamed to hear that you had already booked another campsite before contacting us, we were on the site already greeting campers arriving and a simple text would of resolved the pitch situation as we could of personally took you to a pitch with suitable shade for you and your dog. As we are a woodland campsite we have plenty of pitches located around the site that at first glance may not be visible. We refunded your pitch fee as a good will gesture. Please next time contact us as we are always nearby and happy to help assisting anyone to find a pitch that suits them as we are not the average open camping field!

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely pitches clearly marked with tall grass between each pitch. Very quiet site. Good facilities (toilets and shower).
Disliked Wasn’t clear where the bins were, wasn’t until we left we spotted them by the exit. Could do with this being written by the camp rules or a poster in the toilet

Non-electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked This campsite is small, but very comfortable and well equipped. There are 3 toilets & 3 showers between 5 pitches. The facilitates are modern and clean, with a rustic charm to them. The communal area is a nice touch and place to sit out of the elements. Pitches are a good size, and spaced apart. Slight slopes so would recommend bringing chocks.
The roads to the site were in good condition. Warm and friendly welcome by Jan, who gave us some great recommendations on things to do.
The site is on a working farm, so there are animals nearby, which for us was a bonus as we watched the cows herded in, and had horses come to visit us in the field adjacent to the campsite.
Disliked Nothing at all.

Shepherd's hut
Liked The hut is set in a very peaceful setting, off a main road but surrounded by beautiful greenery and next to someone’s property. We were undisturbed for our stay and throughly enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The hut itself is brilliant. Comfortable bed, and lovely decor of the kitchen and table unit. The bathroom is just what you need, and the local soap was a lovely touch. We enjoyed our stay so much we tried to extend our booking, but alas it was sold out!
Disliked Nothing at all.

Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Good size hard standing pitches, concrete with gravel next to it. Toilet block was very clean and modern enough. Other campers stuck well to ventilating the showers with cones which meant they were humid/stuffy. Loved the washing up liquid and sponges at the sink, nice touch. Nice easy drive in following directions given. Beautiful view. Lots of sunshine on the field (lower down the field gets best sunshine)
Disliked There was a tent patch on the grass between the hard standing pitches, which would indicate during busy periods a tent could be there, which would remove the spacious luxurios feel.

Electric grass pitch
Liked We were lucky with timing of our stay, and had a field shared only with us and one other family. As such, access to facilities, cleanliness of the facilities and all round stay was fabulous. The fire pits you can loan are excellent condition, and the cost of wood was reasonable.
Disliked There are only 2 female toilets, 2 male toilets and 1 unisex cubicle, I imagine in busier periods this would cause queuing required. Of course this is based on assumption and I may be wrong.

Non-electric hardstanding pitch (woodland)
Liked Toilet & shower facilities are brilliant. Washing up stations plenty with hot water. Laundry room although the tumble dryer didn’t do the best job. On site sauna & cold plunge. Lovely woodland walk on site.
Disliked The pitches are very close together, we were overlooked by a safari tent, which for us meant kids were regularly running onto our pitch, despite asking parents to try and keep them off. At times this felt very awkward and unwanted. There were also kids playing swing ball etc near our unit which made us a little nervous with stray balls & rackets! - all of these are not in the sites control, however I feel the close proximity pitches causes this behaviour.
