Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Liked Everything, great hosts, lovely setting, great pub. You need to ask where to pitch up in the pub, then they take you to the available areas.
Shallow but fast stream passing by camp and pub so little ones should be supervised or possibly encouraged to paddle in when weather is good.
Disliked Disliked nothing to dislike

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Leaving
Disliked Constant nearby traffic noise. 9.30pm quiet site rule or get to bed rule. I guess so you can listen to the loud nearby traffic better

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As you will have seen, the water authority chose to put temporary traffic lights near the park which remained in place over the Bank Holiday weekend when you stayed. That meant the traffic backed up outside the park which created noise. The traffic lights have now thankfully been removed. Your group of 26 guests chose to convene on one pitch which created a lot of additional noise. Had you chosen to socialise in a smaller group, we wouldn't have spoken to you. We would recommend in future speaking to a campsite before you book such a large number of guests under separate bookings. We would also refer you to the site rules which are shown on our listing - "Quiet hours must be respected between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.." As a family campsite, the majority of our guests appreciate that.
