Very helpful staff, clean and tidy toilet and shower facilities with no need to que to access, good supporting facilities on site of a bar and food (big portions served). Lots of activities for children which kept them fully entertained which did not impact on other campers.
Motorhome pitch, very large and level with power, water and waste water facilities in easy reach of the pitch. Being so close to the zoo, we walked the mile from the campsite down the country lane, which provided a lovely day out, even for middle aged adults.

It’s a wonderful place with amazing facilities for families, lovely bar and restaurant. Staff and owner are all helpful and friendly and they have a dedicated doggy shower area with poo bin and poo bags.

The only downside is that there are no laundrette facilities which would be helpful with dirty grandchildren and dog!

Marwell Resort Review:

I recently stayed at Marwell Resort and had a wonderful experience overall. The cleanliness of the facilities was impeccable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. Their welcoming attitude really enhanced our stay.

However, there are a couple of areas where improvements could be made. Offering a late checkout option beyond the current 4pm would be greatly appreciated. Extending checkout to around 8pm would allow guests to enjoy a full day at the resort without feeling rushed to pack up and leave early.

Additionally, the forest area with the kids' activity course could use some tender loving care. We noticed an excessive number of fallen branches scattered around, which detracted from the otherwise beautiful environment. A bit of maintenance here would make the experience even more enjoyable and safe for children.

Despite these minor issues, Marwell Resort is a great destination, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Being next to the wild meadow. We even saw a barn owl. Good sized pitches snd the pitch snd putt was fun.

Small wooden stakes marking pitches were quite dangerous in the central areas of the field. When dusk it was worrying that the kids might trip on them.

Lots to do with young and older kids, two days wasn’t enough time to do everything. Very successful day fishing. Would definitely come again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice bar and restaurant with live entertainment on selected nights.
Beautiful fishing lake - don’t forget your rods!
Really good size pitches.
Toilets and shower areas were regularly cleaned.

Shop not being open until July, such a shame as they could of earned a fair bit of custom this weekend alone.

Bar staff were very helpful & attentive; ground staff (Australian guy & young lad on his 1st day of apprenticeship) so helpful, kind & friendly and full of interesting facts about the local area & tips on where to visit.

No information pack given, the site is advertised as somewhere with lots of activities & things to do but there was no information regarding this & nothing to tell you how to do these things; it’s not made clear that the restaurant is only open until 2pm through the week. The gym, bar & play barn are accessible to non campers, who also have access to the pitches - as there is no security or gates whatsoever, you actually pass the entrance to the pitches. The ladies toilets were cleaned on the day we arrived & then not cleaned for 2 days & who ever had used them had left them in a disgusting state. The charge of over £50 per night is utterly diabolical & takes the Mickey.
