great pitch for campervan. Clean facilities.

Shame the Cafe closed at 5pm for food. A bit too early to eat for us.

Was a lovely, a nice big pitch plus everything was within close proximity.

Great resort with all facilities you could need. Although winter and most of the outdoor activities were closed for the season the adventure golf and soft play centre were a firm positive either our children. Both activities were in great condition although a tad expensive.

Pitch was huge and ample space for caravan, awning and car.

Will certainly be coming back in the summer.

Close to Winchester as we came for the Christmas market

The woman at the reception was not very welcoming and didn’t give us any information about the site. There was a very noisy gym and function room on site, we could hear noise early and late and there were a lot of cars coming in and out of the site. Showers and toilets were reasonably clean, but very cold. No heating at all in December. We were shown to our pitch on Friday evening. On Saturday we used our camper van to drive to Winchester. On arriving back on Saturday early evening, another motorhome was parked in our pitch. The reception was unmanned so we called the warden number and left a message but no one ever called back. As we are relatively new to camper van life, we were unsure what to do in this situation so to have someone to speak to would have been useful. In the end we just parked up in an empty pitch and hoped we weren’t in someone else’s pitch!!

In the main, an excellent site with good bathroom facility & level pitch.
This was our second visit to Marvell (once in the summer and this time in December) and we will be back again in the summer …..

Dishwasher area was closed off with towels wrapped around the taps to mitigate pipe freezing …..this however resulted in having to wash dishes in the shower cubicle which was far from ideal on multiple levels e.g. hygiene and getting soaked

Very friendly staff and super clean facilities. Bar and restaurant on site too which was a touch. Fire pits were allowed but we stayed during a storm so sadly didn’t light one.

Beautiful setting, great facilities - showers and toilets all well maintained (if a bit chilly but it was December!), and so much to get involved in.

Would have been good to have WiFi extend down to the pitch sites. It also seemed a little incongruous to have the gunfire of the clay pigeon shooting echoing through this lovely rural retreat where we had come to find peace and quiet for some respite.

Staff were friendly, pitch was good.

Showers!!! Was freezing in there. No heating at all. Didn’t use them in the end as it was too cold. Toilets were ok but again would have been better if there was heating in them. Our electric kept tripping out. Road in definitely needs resurfacing. Huge puddles everywhere. Limited the parking on the Sunday as we tried to get a coffee in the cafe before we left but no room as there were functions on. Couldn’t find anywhere to park anyway that wasn’t right next to a huge puddle.

Level pitch.

Everything else. Dirty unkempt shower/toilet facilities. Potholed entrance. Disinterested staff. Advertised entertainments unavailable. Had booked three days specifically to fish, access not available due to ground conditions. Given that during a telephone conversation with the site that information was not forthcoming. Had the inaccessibility of the lake been forthcoming, we would not have booked. Site looks more like a children's playground rather than the advertised resort. We stayed two hours and left never to return. No point discussing anything with the staff, absolutely no customer service. No security on the site, non residents also have free access to wander wherever they choose. I wouldn't choose this site for anything particularly with small children. Just my view of course but definitely feeling ripped off.
