Location. Space. Lake area. Open in the winter. Ok for overnight stay. Kids would love the cabin in the woods.

Noise from the road. Season not started yet so litter and bins not emptied. Toilets not flushed. I can imagine when it gets going with all the facilities that it is popular and would be too busy for us.

A lovely place with lots to do for all ages , the staff are very friendly and being close to south West London makes it an easy short break away ..the grounds are very clean and tidy and the campervan pitches are well kept . Just a bad point I found was showers and toilet blocks not completely clean and could really do with some repairs eg cracked tiles etc . Also could do with a deep clean to remove scale and calcium build-up. My only bad point but me and my young daughter will be back again . Best Stacy and Wren

Easy site to find following sat nav and well signposted near to the site.
Pitch fairly level only need to use one leveling ramp on hard standing pitch with gravel.
Only needed to use 10 meter cable for EH access and close to water supply.
Grounds fairly tidy, considering the time of year.
Good dog walking around the site, with good access to local footpaths etc.
Good communication prior to our arrival i.e. emails etc.
Good location for Marwell Zoo easy walking distance.

I gave this site 1 star as the major issue was the tidiness and cleanliness of the facilities particularly the toilets!
I understand that it's outside the main season, however for the £30 per night we would have expected these facilities to still be maintained to an exceptable standard, which they weren't !!
The other issue with the toilets, apart from cleanliness, was they were not heated in anyway shape or form, which in the 21st century you would expect some sort of heating in a facility where you are expected to wash and shower in.
This I find totally unacceptable and talking to some of the other people staying there, felt the same.
The washing up area was unsuitable after the sun had set as there was a light, but this was not working and hanging off the wall with bare wires showing!!!
Adjacent to the washing up area was the "inclusive" toilet/shower room which I looked into to see if this was heated.
This was the biggest shock as clearly this hadn't been cleaned for some days with a blocked and smelly toilet and still no heating available!
The driveway once off Hurst Lane, was shocking with lots of pot holes!

All in all this site was a disappointment and we will never return and will not be recommending this site.

It was quiet but that’s expected this time of year with it being out of season

No bins, there were a few other people on site but no sign of any bins. On saying that I don’t ask but the reception closed just after we arrived and we had to be off site at 10am so no point in asking.
The toilets obviously weren’t checked on as one was blocked the other was strewn with toilet roll. Also the toilet block is large but there was no heating except for a very small fan heater. throughout our visit. Outside sink was filthy and obviously hadn’t been checked on.

The site was clean & tidy it was quiet as the season hadn’t fully started the grass pitches were no yet open so we were the only people on site.
There is an activity centre on site and there were a lot of cars arriving and we could hear the bass from the music, there was also clay pigeon shooting taking place so be aware if you have a nervous dog.
A cafe on site has drinks & food.
When we attended it was quiet & £27.50 a night with EHU. Later in the year this goes up to £54 a night, and I would envision that it is very busy with families and noisy with children.
Would I return
Possibly but not in high season.
Ok for families but expensive and too child orientated for the single camper

The views & the area were lovely, well positioned hard standing pitches. Obviously lots to do as is an Activity Centre.
Nice level pitches.
Nice cafe on site if required.
Reception staff welcoming & helpful.

The toilet/showers weren’t cleaned daily as expected also not warm…a small fan heater was in use, but not sufficient for the space.

Nice sized pitches, I travelled as a solo camper but met up with lots of friends and rather than the group being split in half we shared pitches and still didn’t feel overcrowded.
Lots to do, mini golf, gym nearby, nice walks (bring wellies), restaurant, zoo a short drive away.

I don’t think the bathroom facilities were cleaned over the weekend of my stay, one sink had been stuffed with tissue and that wasn’t cleared, soap scum was left for the length of my stay. The car park had pots holes but no lighting making it dangerous to cross
