Although quite a big site, high hedges divided areas so it felt smaller. A very good toilet block. And breakfast baps if required each morning!Disliked: We didn't find anything to dislike.

Liked: The pitches were spacious and conveniently located for access to water and waste disposal. The showers and toilets were clean and well presented and the staff were very helpful.
Disliked: There was often quite a queue for the showers. Not the end of the world and wouldn't prevent me from booking again.

Liked: The gentle ambience of the campsite is my takeaway. Families with young children playing with plenty of room for them to play without upsetting the quieter holidaymakers. I’d say the site leans more toward adult happiness than children, so no rampaging kids because the adults seemed to be in charge. I know what some people have said but we didn’t experience anything negative. Our motorbike with around 300kilo fully laden, managed the steep driveway without difficulty and the very tight S-bend road before the site was a pillion test that we passed with flying colours thankfully. The seclusion and setting of the campsite are what we wanted and that’s what we got. The owners are really nice and engaging. The site itself is very well maintained. The shop offers enough to get by and prices are fair. Everyone seemed happy. We’ll worth a visit.

Disliked: It was a lovely place and well looked after, but not my cup of tea. I prefer much more space between pitches and less noise and people. No fault of the campsite, as others prefer this and I should have looked more carefully at the description and reviews.

Most of our pitches have electric hook up but it is an optional extra that you can add when you book a pitch on Pitch Up. Anyone not wanting electric can opt not to add it, those that do wish to, can add it, but obviously there is an extra cost. I am sorry that you did not realise that when booking with Pitch up. There was no obligation to add the electric on arrival - you can still opt to not have it, but if you wish to use the electric, there is a cost, as with all campsites.
We are aware that the kids play equipment is sparse - there is a large field for ball games and a climbing frame - we know we need to add to it and will do so gradually over time as funds allow. There is a fabulous park right next to us with an amazing park - you can literally step out of the gate and you are in the park.
I do hope you will stay another time and give us another go!

Liked: Used as the stopover for our gravel bikepacking weekend, lovely warm showers and clean facilities. We shared a 9x9m pitch with plenty of room for our 5 small tents. Quiet so we got the rest we needed for another big day. There are pizzas between 5-7pm on Fridays! which we knew we'd arrive too late for. Real coffee and bacon rolls available the next morning. Good covered seating area. A beautifully maintained campsite with friendly and supportive owners. We're already talking about coming back next year :)

Liked: Clean facilities and very friendly owners who paid attention to detail.
Lovely on site shop with take away coffees etc. pizza night on Fridays a real hit.
Pitches are very well maintained.Disliked: Occasional noise from inconsiderate campers. Owners dealt with disturbances very quickly and effectively.
