The location was fantastic for dog walking, lots of routes along the canals and down country lanes. The site is right next to some woods with a lake for cooling off too.

A really lovely site for adults. Facilities were really well cared for. The toilets were clean and tidy and we also liked the communal area.

We would have liked a camp fire but for probably understandable reasons, you can use your own but For us £30 for a fire bowl rent is very pricey.

Gorgeous site, really pretty and interesting with different areas to pitch. Facilities were excellent with a lovely communal room with sofas and kitchen equipment, the owners were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, will definitely visit again.

Only disadvantage was 2pm check in and 11am check out although we were allowed to stay for a couple of hours if we disconnected from the electricity.

Brilliant stay at this lovely campsite. Greeted by owner Dave who took us round the pitches on offer. Decided on one at the top field overlooking the valley. Big flat pitches so private and not overlooked. Made a campfire every night for five nights. Dave brought round wood £15 for a crate good value showers and toilets very clean especially loved the large family shower room. Communal room so lovely! Tv. Wi-Fi comfortable sofas kettle toaster etc took a glass of wine down to watch Glastonbury loved it. Forest walk on doorstep with mere. Loved the walk and our Dog was in heaven I just loved everything about the campsite very quiet and private will definitely be staying again

Lovely location, clean facilities, comunity area with everything you could need: area to chill on sofas, bar tables to have a drink, dining tables for a lunch, fridges, ketle etc. Beautyful nature, birds, bunnies.. amazing friendly, helpfull and hard working owners. I love every single bit there.
So quiet and peaceful. Amazing walks next to the lake or further to the local village.
Just came back after 3rd weekend spent there in a row. :)

The site is immaculately clean and tidy, and the communal area with fridge, microwave and TV is a really nice touch. The immediate area is beautiful, especially the walk around Colemere lake itself. We also had a lovely walk into Ellesmere along the canal, lunch in a cafe, and an ice cream by Ellesmere lake, then walked back to the site, which was a lovely day and it tired the dog out! Back at the site in the evening, we listened to barn and tawny owls calling over our heads in the darkness! Lovely!

We did find that our pitch wasn't very level, so had to jig about with the chocks for our campervan.

My girlfriend and I live locally and decided to visit the site to enjoy a summer's sunny evening by the lake, along with our dog. It's an absolutely beautiful location. The super warm friendly owners are delightful and their ethos is evident throughout the site. The near-by location almost meant we could join our Saturday morning running club; just 2 miles up the canal to Ellesmere.

When we first arrived we were greeted by the host, who was very friendly and welcoming. We then followed him to our pitch, and was given a map of the local area. The site is a beautiful hidden gem, toilets and showers were always clean, the location is perfect close drive to the town centre. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thank you for having us.
